Default Saying goodbye to my X Type

I've really enjoyed the 2 X Types I've owned, but, Saturday, I traded my 06 off. A family friend who works for the local Jag Dealer called me Friday to come look at a car that just came in off lease. When wife and I got there, he rolled out a beautiful Radiance Red 06 S-Type 4.2 VDP with virtually every option Jag offered on it including Nav. The car is clean, certified, and had a clean carfax. We took the car home overnight, and, hooked up again Saturday morning to discuss numbers. The deal our friend offered us was too good to pass up, and we bought it. It'll take us a week to figure out how to operate all the stuff on this car. Now I get to visit both forums, and, start to learn about the little foibles of the S-Type. Thanks to everybody for all the help you've been with my two X Types.

Regards:
Oldengineer

Last time I was in an S Type I nearly got crushed.
The seats went forward to the memory position and the previous (woman) driver was only about 5'3" !!
Justsaved myself by removing the key which sent the seat back.
Had to getour receptionist to drive it around the back of the bodyshopwhile Itried to figure out how to alter the seat settings while it was in gettingrepaired!
4.2 VDP sounds great!

Buck:

I dodged that one. The woman who leased the car must have been twice my size. I about ended up in the back seat. Luckily, I printed off the quick start guide for the car, and, got the seat, pedals, and steering all adjusted to fit me with not much fuss.

I'll try to shoot a picture of her when we get some decent weather here. Put an air filter in her tonight - didn't look like the previous ownerhad changed it for a good while. The S is a bigger pain to put an air filter in than the X is. I also discovered the front fog lamps only burn about 30 seconds and trip the breakers. I'm busy checking for gremlins for her first trip back to the dealer.
