Still available.
The only way to program them to an S-Type R is at the dealer with their computer. They usually charge about $100.
If you are in South Florida i could help you out with the programing.

Ok this is for the key AND the fob (electronic bit) right? Also is there a way to program the key part (well the car to recognise it) since i assume it has some kind of rfid for the immobilizer without going to the dealership? Also im correct in thinking its $30 including shipping ($40 for the new one which i assume means is the only uncut key)?

Nope smiles, it's just the FOB! Keys run for about 150 bucks at the dealer. You can program the FOB. What type of car do you have though, so that envy can give you the instructions?

No keys, Just the Fob.
The key has to be programmed to the instrument pack for it to start the car (dealer only). It will only open the doors/trunk/turn the ignition on if it's not programmed.
$30 (used, shipped) & $40 (new, shipped). If you have an X-Type, XJ(latest gen) you can program the Fob with out going to the dealer. S-Type has to be programmed at the dealer.
I could source you a new uncut key if you need it.

Well how much would the key and the fob cost together if you sorced em. And i have a X-type and i know how to program em (why i found this forum 
) so that isnt a problem. Tho if i was to get a blank key and fob how much do you beleive the dealer would charge me to register the key part? if its too much i might still be intrested in just the fob since one has just died and if i cant fix it ill need to replace it

The dealer charges $115 bucks to program the FOB, whether it be 1 or 4. The price for the key is $65 bucks which I thought wasn't that bad. I forgot to ask how much he would charge if I had the blank key though. I don't expect it to be much less. Hey Envy, you sure you can't help me out to program the FOB to my car?

Smileboot* I can get new master keys for $50, valet keys a few bucks less. You will have to get them cut at your local Jag dealer and programmed, about $100ish. I have the FOBs as well which you know how to program. The used fobs have the updated static pads which were part of a recall.
BigDreams* Do you have a FOB to program? I can probably source a new one, not sure on the price yet. Either way, i can program your FOB for a fraction of the dealer price.

So if I buy a Key FOB, you'll charge me 20 bucks to program it to my car? If so, may I please make an appointment with you? Didn't you say you had used FOB's though! Is a new FOB from YOU $110, or can I still get the used FOB from you for $30 and program it with you for $20! BOY, can you tell I'm Frugal!

I have plenty of the newer style FOB's (new and used).
You have the older style, which i dont have. I can get them, but not at a great discount. So you can supply your own or i can get you a new one and I'll program it for $20.
