aquill1 07-05-2007, 12:32 AM Well can't remember where you live but since you have the Jag you don't really have to worry about bad roads...this car for your wifey? I hate chrysler products unless bought brand new...never had a positive impact by anything with there badge...ever! My father bought a brand new ram 2500 and before he got it home from dealer the truck already had rust...cv joints bad less than a year old...bad oil burning smell everytime the truck was started...very uncomfortable and cheap...father in-law has a 99 dodge ram van and had to have entire motor replaced at 30k miles...Not the only two stories I could give you more. The chrysler is rwd and the look is just mediocre. If it was the full hemi with the bigger better wheels and a different color it'd be nicer...
Lincoln...warranty is good for another 20k...front wheel drive and looks nicer by far. The car has a lot more appeal. The lincoln is less expensive and the build quality and everything are really good on the whole fusion/zephyr/milan lineup.
Price alone would tell me to go to the lincoln...if the 300 has a warranty it could be considered but it is rwd and I wouldn't want that for my wife. The 300 is also bigger which is nice because the zephyr is about the same size as the x-type...my aunt has a fully loaded with stitched leather fusion and likes it.
Finally the price would lean me towards the lincoln, the idea of owning the lincoln much like owning the jag would lean me to the lincoln, the mileage is considerably higher than the chrysler but it does have the full warranty and the size of car should be considered...either way I'd choose the zephyr for sure.
mobiledave 07-05-2007, 02:28 PM Thanks aquill1..
No WIFE! Ha
Its for my Mother.
Yea the Lincoln is the better buy and is what im going with. But man I love those 300's exteriors.(everybody says stay away from dodge)
93xj6 07-07-2007, 10:59 AM The 300 link no longer works, how much did they want for it?
I like the lincoln alot from what I've seen of them, btu I've never actually been in it.
mobiledave 07-08-2007, 11:01 AM Link has been fixed! Just click 300c up top!

93xj6 07-09-2007, 08:08 AM Yea then the lincoln is a good deal
bigdreams05 07-09-2007, 09:40 AM In my opinion, get an S type R!:D Just kidding! I would go for the Zephyr!
cadillac 07-09-2007, 11:59 AM Definitely Lincoln wins hands down .When you also look at a prestige wise , Lincoln comes after Cadillac in other words USA's 2nd best car .As fro Chrysler ,it is just too rude car .One good thing on it (it's all personal thing) you can get more aftermarket accessories for Chrysler 300 .
aquill1 07-09-2007, 06:17 PM One of the reasons for that is the car is a very popular one so having alot of them out and about it only makes sense to have more products for them. I love the outside of them as well...in black or deep burgundy metallic they look awesome not to mention the srt versions but it is still a chrysler. Before we got the jag and actually for the last few years my wife seriously made the noise we all make when we pass say a 60's eleanor gt500. It seriously got out of hand I thought I married Tim Allen! But than last summer she got in one! I didn't even have to talk her out of liking them!
04XTYPE 07-10-2007, 03:13 AM Quite honestly i wud prefer the 300Cas it has the hemi and the aftermarket parts, but for price the lincoln wud be the best out of those two specifically, as the colour on the C isnt really great, and i mite be a little biased, but u cant really go wrong with a black car ;)
ken@britishparts.com 07-10-2007, 11:18 AM Nothing looks as fine as a clean black car. Had a black XJ6 and a black XJS convertible. I sure got tired of washing them though.
cadillac 07-10-2007, 02:49 PM That's true 04 , black car is the best ;)
mobiledave 07-10-2007, 03:19 PM Yea black is way to hard to keep Clean/sexy.
(bigdreams05) yes im looking at 04-05 S type..
2005 S-Type with 49K miles, $24K (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?rdpage=thumb&car_id=225814148&dealer_id=54 795118&car_year=2005&marketZipError=false&search_t ype=both&num_records=25&make=JAG&keywordsfyc=&tran smission=&distance=300&model=STYPE&address=33971&m ake2=&advanced=&default_sort=priceDESC&certified=& max_mileage=&max_price=28000&sort_type=priceDESC&m in_price=1&first_record=26&body_code=0&end_year=20 08&color=&keywordsrep=&start_year=2004&drive=&page r.offset=25&search_lang=en&page_location=findacar% 3A%3Aispsearchform&engine=&doors=&style_flag=1&fue l=&cardist=103)
This one looks great but 2 many miles!!
93xj6 07-10-2007, 03:36 PM Yea it looks good cuz they took the pictures of it in the rain.
That's such a cheesy move, when u see online adds when it;s raining out, u know the car looks bad dry, but no paint job looks bad in the rain.
aquill1 07-11-2007, 11:01 AM Doubt that...be hard for a 2005 to have a bad paint job unless it was in an accident...may make some cars look better but that car is 2 years old! Like that one but that is a lot of miles that thing should have less than half of that for mileage...but the price would also reflect it!
I agree with the black statement...I wanted a black sport but there weren't too many out there...but I would have picked my current car over black just because the way it looks in person...this adriatic blue is killer in person...
93xj6 07-11-2007, 11:48 AM It must make that car look better cuz what you think they were just in sucha hurry to get the car online that they went out in the rain, that doesnt really happen.
Either that car has a bad paint job, or maybe they just didnt want to wash the car, that's probably more likely.
bigdreams05 07-11-2007, 02:36 PM It doesn't really look like it's raining....just looks like the car is wet!
aquill1 07-11-2007, 05:15 PM Or perhaps just getting the car online and fast gets the car for sale quicker??? Advertising wouldn't make that car sell faster would it? Probably sell faster if they hide it out back with no for sale sign and don't let anyone see it...
04XTYPE 07-12-2007, 02:28 AM i personally think that S looks like its in good condition, and for 24k its a steal. 49k miles aint too bad. Damn i hate the resale value of jags, good thing i dont plan on ever sellin mine:)
aquill1 07-12-2007, 06:47 AM Yeah it is nice rain or not!
