XJR Wash and Claybar pics

Beautiful car bud.....absolutely Stun ING

Nice pics of a car thats loved n looked after obviously.
Hope you don't mind if I make one small observation though, sumthin I did on my A6 as I had the same problem.
The paintwork was great, the wheels were great and even the wheel well liners and the tyres all balcked really made it look great, but the thing that takes away from all of that ( and you seem to have the same problem ) is the hubs - where the wheel fits onto.
Yours, as mine were, are pretty basic / dirty looking - mine were the same, probably much worse incl a little rust here n there.
Have you considered having the wheels off and applying a little caliper paint ( possibly silver or black ) ??
It really makes a huge difference
Here's an example of my X type prior to doing the job so you can see what I mean

Here's one of the hub area / caliper after painting to show the difference

Here's an example of the hub painted on my A6 to give a better idea

Lovin the car and envious of the power you have. Lookin forward to more pics

All the best
budsang1,
Beautiful car! Thanks to you, I got inspired to buff and wax out my S-Type. I'm feeling it even though I was using a random orbital buffer
. That buffer vibrates worse than an old Norton.

Jim,
I'll try to get one or two shots along with some of the Jags at the Reston Concours I plan on attending this Saturday. That is, once my hands stop shaking
. I still need to do some more detail work like painting the calipers, etc.
