I have a 2004 XJR with about 77,000 miles. I purchased the car with a CPO at the Tampa Jag Dealership. My warranty is out this December.
My warranty has already paid for many items including a blown amp, 2 new headlights, a leaking plastic coolent bottle, a leaky transmission and a tensioner. I love the car, but am worried about the maintanence cost over time. Does anyone have any experience with XJR's over 80,000 miles and the cost to maintain the car.

Thanks

Eric

Eric, in case you didn't know that, jag offers an additional warranty for your car, or you can shop 3rd party policies. Jags is similar to what you're used to on the Select Edition, though it will be a bit steeper in price. If you feel you'll use it...go for the secure feeling and purchase it.

If you don't, plan on one large item a year needing your attention, saving accordingly, and you should be ok.

And yes, welcome to the forum.

Welcome. There are a few Tampa based folks already here I think, me being one.

Thanks all. I will check out the prices on warranty's. Most likely will just risk it. Rothwell, where do you get your car serviced in Tampa? I am pleased with Jaguar of Tampa, but of course dealer prices are higher than local shops.

Eric,

It's a schlep, but the guys at All Jaguar in Longwood (Just north of Orlando) are fantastic.

I bought my first 2 S-Types at Jaguar of Tampa but bought my XJ from a dealer in Arkansas.

Mine have always been under warranty so I can only say that both JoT (Frank) and Crown in St. Pete (Karen) have treated me well.
