HVAC Blower motor not working. I think it is the Blower control module but not sure?
I have an 04vdp and I bought the JTIS manual for the computer. There is no wiring diagram for 2004 only for 2003.5 is that right? Any way I have been using the 2003.5 diagram to help me diagnose the car has been working so far. I removed the blower motor from under the dash and hooked up two leads to the battery and the blower motor works fine, so then I checked the relay in the trunk and I can hear it clicking over any time you turn the climate control system on and off. I removed the relay and checked the continuity for the power wire from the relay to the connector under the dash, works fine. When I check the how many volts I get by putting the two leads in the connector I don't get anything but when I have one lead in the power and ground it to the frame I get about 12vdc (sorry I have to break it down this way but I'm not an electrician). So that means its a ground issue right? On the diagram the ground goes to the blower controller and there is a ground coming off the controller. I followed the ground wire from the blower motor connector up to what I am guessing is the control module(held in by to philips head screws, connector on one side and cooling fins on the other). I check the continuity of the ground wire from the blower motor connector to the control module and it is fine. I don' see a ground coming off the control module like it shows in the diagram? So I am guessing it is the control module would that be right? Is that a common reason for the blower motor not working?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks guys
