is this a good deal for an 02 xtype?
hi all... i am brand new to the jag world.
i'm a sales manager at a chevy dealer so we dont see too many of these come through...
i had to work my used car director a bit to get this thing for my girlfriend, but here's what I worked out.
its a 2002 xtype 2.5, roof, heated seats, red ext. white int, flawless in and out.
it has 13,500 original miles, 70 year old man traded it.
im picking it up for 11,9K
good deal or no?
Also I dont think it has a cd changer, i cant find one.

what are original miles anyway? are there some other kind? hahaha...

Is the car a 5 speed or automatic?
Does it have the sport pack? (does it have any chrome on it?)
Any service history? (dont you car salesmen know the value of that? haha again) I am sure a 70 year old man kept the history.
There are a few typical problems that '02s had and with that low mileage they may not have been addressed. There are a few recalls on the car to check out too. Hopefully you will be trouble free.. did you manage to sell yourself a used car warranty?
A few pics would be nice.

got all the service records... been serviced for fuel system and electrical.
its usa, im in chicago...
its an automatic
older man owes 4 other cars, wanted a tahoe to pull the boat and had to let 1 car go...

if you really like xtype this looks to be a creampuff
all the warr serv done all the recalls etc
without seeing it and only going by DDW and what you have said about it

Nice car. Pretty loaded with exception of sport package and HID.
All services were done as were all recalls and bulletins. I would say a pretty sound car. Hard without being there to look at it, but on paper is good car.

Hey ixl4 why don't you buy an extended through the dealer you work for? Is it because you know the warranty is just a scam?

yes i bought it! thank you all!
i also bought the bumper to bumper warrantly... 3 years 45k miles for $1300. thats our cost. its a gm warranty so its not a scam.
i couldnt be happier with the car... its awesome.
