Any advice or resources? krazyneil 11-27-2006, 11:22 AM my advice if your fitting it yourself is to use masking tape to mark up all the wires so you cant put it back together wrong and take photos if needed its quite a complex job on one of these ,you have ordered the right engine as there are 2 types? 02-25-2007, 04:57 AM Just replaced my Nicasil-challenged original motor in my 1999 XJR at the hefty cost of $11,900. I now have a brand new 2007 engine in my beloved vehicle and it runs like a dream. This cost included replacing all belts, all hoses, new EGR assembly, supercharger unit, water pump and anything else related to the engine that might cause problems over the next 3-5 years or so of frequent interstate driving. I decided to spend the money because I much prefer the XJR body to the latest iteration of aluminum-clad, top-of-the-line XJ series vehicles and my 1999 is cosmetically perfect. |
