My 2004 XJ8 the best car I have ever owned!

Great Looks, responsive, Fast, 27-28 MPG at 70MPH, 18 or so around town if I am careful.....Goes over bumps, when the much heavier BMW and Mercedes competition goes through them! I have 30k miles on the car, and have owned it since new....One blown speaker, fixed under warranty, that is it! I like it so much I am thinking of buying a 2009 before the body change, especially if its replacement is NOT of aluminum, even though the new bumpers look a lil porky.....Just thought I would share my good fortune!

Glad to hear it. Bought my wife the same car (first Jag) and she raves about it much the same as you. I'm new to Jag myself (decades of Corvettes and now Porsches) and I'm quite impressed with the cat car. I think driving it actually lowers my blood pressure. Clarkson drove one all the way to Scotland and didn't get angry at traffic!

Congratulations - my wife and I feel the same way. She has a 98 XJ8L Vanden Plas, and it is still a fantastic car. I have an 02 XKR and we both love our Jags.

Ditto. Impressive car-fun to drive and fast when needed. Great mileage. Loved it when first drove it at Limerock Jaguar customer event several years ago.

well it is great to know that the xj is a great and releible car , as i recently purchased a 2005 SUPER V8 , and i am totally amazed by its ride and power, your testament is a great peace of mind.
