Hi guys, I just bought a new 05 xtype sport and am new to this forum, you can see it here (if you are interested):

I have a couple of questions:
-What tint level do you think I should get?
-Do you know of a 12v cigarette adapter that will fit in the lighter space with the cover closed? or is there any way to tap into a 12v power line underneath the steering column for a external navigation unit?

i would check with local laws on tinting..i have 10% on my nonner, but its illegal....i just have been lucky for 3 years..

Be a rebal and show the cops you are a man with a Jag. Get the windows limo dark all the way around including the front winshield!
This way at night when they pull you over and can't see inside, they can shoot you and claim it was homeland security.....
Or something like that.....
My jag has factory tint on all the windows... :P

I got the limo tint (5%) on mine, it looks great, but it is a little difficult to c out of a night (I cant c a damn thing, but it does look good)[8D]

i have 10% on my car, and the only thing that i have issues with is backing into poorly lit parking spaces, or the driveway, at night
YOU CAN PULL THE CARPET BACK ON THE CENTER CONSOL AND JUST TTEP INTO THE CIGGY LIGHTER THATWAY.

What? Anyway, i've seen the black jags with the limo tint....looks ok if you're 18 and daddy just bought you a ride.....

I went with 35% all around except for windshield and I think its dark enough especially when cloudy. Got pulled over once for having the tints on front windows but got away with a warning. :D

Oh man, you should have gotten the windshield tinted with limo dark.......why bother with all the other windows tinting when you can't get the front windshield tinted?? Personally, I would have painted all the windows black to match the car, then setup video camera's in the front and drive with them on, and inside have a 20 inch plasma t.v showing the road.....you should do that.....
