Perhaps with someone having detailed knowledge of French imports of UK reg Jaguars can guide me?
I am registering my 2004 X-Type estate 2.0D Classic in France, from UK.

The UK Registration Document section K shows E11*98/14*0176*04 but this is inadequate for the French Prefecture, their computer system doesn't recognise it as sufficient.
On other makes of car section K would normally be enough.

Does anyone recognise those letters-numbers from section K, is there another number/letter hidden in the VIN number, Variant (RBB1), Version (5HHH H), or elsewhere?

Maybe there's a code for RHD (as opposed to LHD) cars, as I have seen the same K number on Finnish vehilces listed as F56/271 (??).

Otherwise I will need a Certificate of Conformity, and am talking with Jaguar UK who will soon tell me if they can provide one;& the cost.

Any ideas will be much appreciated, please?

Steve, Does the rear fog lamp of a 2007 XKR have a fuse? I tried the lamps and they work but I don't seem to be getting power to the rear fog for some reason, any ideas?
    Cheers
