Leedsman, are you by chance still on the forum? I saw a post of your on transmissions. I'm having issues, not with my XK, but with my 2006 Rover and it led me to one of your post. I have the P0705 code. If I get my Rover into D then it runs perfectly. If it's in P and I shift really fast to D then everything is good but for some reason when I select R or N it goes into limp mode. In your post it says this

    Transmission Range Sensor
The non-contacting, Hall effect Transmission Range (TR) sensor provides four digital inputs to the TCM. Each 4-bit
pattern corresponds to the driver-selected gear position (Park, Rev, Neutral, D6, D4, 3, 2, 1). The 4-bit pattern is
    checked for invalid combinations (P0705).

This started happening after I changed out my sleeve. I was having some other issues but this is what popped up after that. Is there a pin or something I could have gotten dirty? I'm just not sure what it could be but was hoping you may.

    thank you,
    Rob

    Hello Leedsman,
in November 2011 you started a thread, which makes me curious and i read - although my english is qite poor - the whole thread to figure out, what you've experienced with Dr Trannys instant shudder fix. It would be very nice, if give me a short message, how it worked.

    George,
Pretend I am an idiot please. I would like to try your "fix" and place your gizmo across my battery. It can't hurt so why the hell not? Just give it to me in laymens terms please so I can go to Radio shack and grab what I need.

As for others on here, it seems some just post for the sake of increasing the post count!

    Thanks mate.

    Mark
