With a turbocharged 4.2L V8 under in the hood, this XJ kitty doesn’t just purr, she roars.

We recently came across quite a special Jaguar XJR in our own Forums. Not only is this 2004 Jaguar XJR a sleek ride a pleasure to admire; it is also for sale in the Jaguar Forums Marketplace. It is a beautifully maintained third-generation XJ, with a few impressive mods and surprises.

The 2004 XJ was well-received at the time, with Motor Trend declaring it “a gorgeous machine that offers stirring performance and consummate luxury.” And this particular model is further enriched with BBS Sebang wheels. BBS is noted for their motorsport roots and high-performance wheel design. Plus, we just think they look incredibly cool.

Seller Squanchy has all the details to tempt us.

400+ hp Supercharged 4.2L V8 and all-aluminum construction make this one of the fastest cars you can buy for the money. It also has the factory OEM 4 piston Brembo brakes with stainless steel brake lines that come from the factory.

This car is equipped with BBS Sepang wheels. These wheels are extremely rare because they were only special order from Jaguar, and discontinued after only a few years. They are factory OEM wheels. They regularly sell for $800-$1000 APIECE on eBay- if they are even available. I have 5 of them (previous owner bent one on a railroad track, I have it on hand). I do not have the time to take the steps in order to sell these wheels–my loss is your gain. Or, you could keep the wheels on the car and get tons of compliments.

We would definitely encourage any potential buyer to please keep these killer wheels.

I have babied this car throughout my 2 years of ownership. Garage kept and leather conditioned every 6 months. I have every service receipt and oil change receipt from my period of ownership. Full synthetic oil changes every 5000 miles. Interior and exterior are 9/10. Small scrapes in the leather seats and some expected wear & tear are the only drawbacks. I have recently steam-cleaned the seats to make them as clean and soft as possible.

This vehicle has a clean title. No accidents ever.

The air suspension, the one unreliable piece of this otherwise reliable car, was completely rebuilt front and rear. All work on this car has been professionally done.

This car is completely constructed out of aluminum, both the chassis and body panels. This makes this Jaguar extremely light, fast, and even surprisingly fuel efficient (20 city, 30 highway with a supercharged V8!).

The adaptive cruise control equipped on this car will amaze you. The car will accelerate and brake for you at the touch of a button. To have this technology in 2004 is nothing short of amazing. This car also has navigation (updated to 2012) and an excellent Alpine Speaker System.

This car also features (all professionally installed):
-Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tires (Installed at Costco, still under warranty)
-Aux Port mod so you can listen to music from your phone (Installed by Sound Depot)
-X-Pipe exhaust: This mod is common on these cars because it makes them sounds amazing and also sounds stock from the inside of the car. This is not a loud exhaust, it mostly changes the tone of the sound. The stock mufflers are still in place. (Installed by Ammerman Muffler)
-Cold Air Intake: This mod is also common because it makes the car faster and more fuel efficient. The tube is hand built in the UK for this car (Installed by LongArm Mechanics)
-Supercharger Pulley: Makes this car a lot faster than stock with no drawbacks except for the initial expense (Installed by LongArm Mechanics).Custom “R” Aluminum Pedals (Professionally Installed by LongArm Mechanics)

Nicely modded and eye-catching wheels make this a very enticing Jag. If you are interested, it is in the Idaho area and you can check out the full listing here.
