Honoring 7 wins at Le Mans, the Project 7 Roadster is Jaguar’s most unique, and most exclusive, F-type.

With racing heritage being pure gold to most car manufacturers, it made a great deal of sense for Jaguar to develop the Project 7 Roadster. But, just 250 were made, and only 50 managed to make the trip over here to the United States. If you were searching for one to buy, you ran short on luck quite quickly, until now. You’ll have to travel to a Lotus dealer in Long Island, New York, but for a car like this, we doubt the location would get in the way of an eager buyer.

Plus, this particular example has covered just 400 miles. Even more interesting is the current asking price of $225,000. If this car does indeed sell for that much, it would be one of the very first modern Jaguars that has an immediate appreciation in price. Although, it wouldn’t be the first time we see a scenario like this play out. The Porsche 911R was a similar limited-run, heritage inspired, track-focused car that traded hands multiple times for big bucks.

Jaguar took the track-focused driving experience one step further. Since it’s much more than just a F-Type with a tune, the Project 7 has increased camber and extremely grippy tires. It also does away with anything that adds unnecessary weight, as evidenced by the lack of an engine cover. Add on the fact that it includes two racing helmets painted in the same livery as the car, and it becomes obvious that those track-day hints are actually recommendations.
