Enjoy some great roads in your Jaguar, hang out with other British car enthusiasts, and help a worthwhile charity this fall in Washington. D.C.

Devout Jaguar (and just plain British car) fans undoubtedly know all about the legendary reliability runs that have been taking place in the U.K. for decades. These events typically unfold over several days, covering hundreds of miles of fun driving roads draped with beautiful scenery. That magic has thankfully been recreated by America’s British Reliability Run, which brings these fun excursions to the U.S. for British car fans to participate in and enjoy.

ABRR is currently holding reliability runs in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Connecticut. But the next event on the calendar takes place in the Washington, D.C. area October 18-20. Over these three days, participants will cover 650 miles of winding back roads in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. But unlike most other road rallies, the rules of ABRR are a tad bit different.

Reliability runs allow you to drive and enjoy your Jaguar in some gorgeous scenery, of course. But since they take place on public roads, this is not a race. There are no checkpoints or mysterious puzzles that you must figure out, nor is there one giant group clogging up the roads. In fact, most ABRR participants travel in small packs, and you’re even free to go solo and complete the route at your own pace.

It’s the gentlemanly way to do a rally, which you’d expect from a British-themed event. ABRR is all about enjoying your car, some great twisty roads, beautiful scenery, and the company of fellow British car enthusiasts. Even better, the money raised from participants goes to a fantastic cause each year.

This year, Our Military Kids is the targeted charity. OMK provides the children of deployed or recovering military members with all sorts of fun activities to help them cope. Including everything from sports to camp and even musical activities. Since 2017, ABRR has helped raise over $83,000 for the worthwhile charity.
