Happy 60th: Jaguar Classic is Making Six Matched Pairs of E-Types

We do know that the finishes will be specific formulations unique to the E-Type 60 run. Coupes will be painted in Flat Out Grey, while dropheads will sport Drop Everything Green. Curiously, there’s no word on whether those are the exact colors of the hero cars, and since all the accompanying pictures are in black and while, they’re not much help.

Perhaps those special colors are supposed to mimic pre-production paint? Or given the somewhat lackadaisical approach to record-keeping during the Swinging ’60s, perhaps nobody is actually positive what color the demo cars were? I’m going to reach out to Jaguar and see if I can get more info here, and will update the post with what I hear.
