Jaguar F-TYPE Rolling on BC Forged Wheels

The custom wheels on this F-TYPE aren’t the only special touches this Jaguar Forums member has made.

Right out of the box, it’s safe to say the Jaguar F-TYPE is one of the sexiest vehicles ever made. As the first proper sports car Coventry has produced in decades, it’s the spiritual heir to the legendary E-Type. And as we learned recently, it’ll also be the last conventionally powered Jaguar sports car. So along with being beautiful and a kick in the pants to drive, every F-TYPE on the road is actually a little piece of history as well.

Of course, there are plenty of owners out there who want to add some custom touches, and you can count Jaguar Forums member Mark F-Type V6 in that crowd. He’s bolted up a sweet set of BC Forged wheels to his ride, and for the record, I think the ten-spoke units look pretty slick. Unlike a lot of other custom wheels I’ve seen, they fill out the wheel wells without looking cartoonishly large — which is a travesty on something as sculpted as the F-TYPE. Also, I think the light gold color looks sweet against the Polaris White paint.

Now, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that Mark F-Type V6 didn’t start this thread looking for opinions on his wheels. He was actually looking to see what folks thought of the badges he added behind the front fenders. For context, here’s his opening post:

I added badges to my F-Type and I love the look. It gives my car the appearance of a specialty built coach from Jaguar. The badges are Jaguar Concours D’Elegance. To those of you who would scoff at the idea, I say to you, the manufacturers have been doing this for years. Slap a specialty badge on a vehicle and the public would eat it up. Examples: Firebird/Formula/TransAm. Then there was the Camaro/Z-28/Iroc, and I’m sure there was a Landau edition. Also, the Ford Escort/Mercury Lynx. General Motors Tahoe/Dinali/Escalade. And the list goes on. I’ve attached a few photos.

P.S. I’ve just added $6,000 to my resale value, why? Because now, my F-Type is a “Special Edition”…lol

If you’ve been on car forums for any length of time, you’ve probably got a good idea of how this thread progresses. Because on the internet, there’s no shortages about what other people do with their property. Fortunately, Mark F-Type V6 seems to have a great sense of humor about the entire thing, and you can bet that 95 percent of folks who pass this machine on the road won’t notice it’s sporting a custom badge. So head over to the thread and chime in — just be nice about it!
