Jaguar Forum Members Share thoughts on New F-Type

This year’s F-Type is another exciting addition to the line up of British sports cars by Jaguar. Coming in either a convertible or closed two-door configuration, it’s a design that appeals to a wide range of potential buyers. If that didn’t make things spicier in a world of large, four-door sedans, Jaguar also offers this lovely lady in either a conscientious four or six cylinder make up. For those who prefer their big cats to be more on the wild and feisty side, the F-Type can be fitted with a 5.0 liter V8 that makes an astonishing 575 hp. Therefore, the jungle cat being either tame or intimidating is completely up to the buyer. With all that in mind, what do our forum members have to say? Nothing but great things, as shown by this thread.
Most of the thread revolves around members posting images from Jaguar’s website of the new F-Type, and including their thoughts on how it looks, or how they can’t wait to get their hands on one. Jaguar Forums member Jaguny says in reply to a member’s recently bought car, “This car exudes catnip for humans. Congrats!” Though a majority were head over heels in love with the new Jag, a lot of members were not fans of the original wheels, saying they look tough to clean. Many wanted to switch their 18 inch wheels for 19 or even 20 inch wheels — probably to make the lively sports car just a tad smoother. On what seems to be a separate section of the conversation, some members are trading routes to drive their cats on. Misujerr and STMPY are California drivers, sending pictures back and forth on the beautiful routes on the historical and coastal Highway 1.
This color seems to generate a mixed opinion among Jaguar enthusiasts. Some feel it to be too pale or “bleached out” when it’s in the right sunlight, and others feel it to be one of the better colors Jaguar put on this model. Aside from British racing green, of course.
Enderle was bitten by the creative bug, and ended up wrapping his Jag to be a beautiful, deep and metallic purple. It’s unconventional, but with the body style and the wheels, we think it looks great on the new Jag! They say it’s not made clear by the photo, but the color actually changes depending on where the light hits it.
The photo underneath Enderle’s Jaguar is another wrapped car. That cat belongs to user Joseph NG, who got his F-Type wrapped in 3M Satin dark gray from the original British racing green color. The matte finish on that created quite a stir as well, as it started an entire conversation on how it’s borderline criminal to paint that particular car with a matte paint.
A lot of photos posted by members were so crisp and clean, that they should be in a magazine. Unsurprisingly, a lot of Jag owners live in Europe. And with that, comes some amazing photos with stellar backgrounds. Without a doubt, the styling of the 2020 F-Type fits perfectly. Let’s take a look at a few.
User Dan_NL took his son a trip driving through Europe. The first picture was separate from that trip, cornering around in the French Alps. The second picture was taken during the father-son trip in Switzerland, and the third was in Lago Maggiore — a vast lake in between Switzerland and Italy. Which, as anyone could see, makes a great calendar shot of his F-Type.
Regardless of what users did to their cars and whether or not other members agreed with it or not, there wasn’t a single comment about people disliking their new Jaguar. If anything, the new design and multiple engines were accepted with open, eager arms.
From pictures taken on coastal, whimsical drives, showing off cool paint jobs or gallivanting across Europe, the Jaguar was highly anticipated. Once people started buying them, the photos and compliments came in troves.
