2021 Jaguar F-Type

From classic beauties to exciting new-model introductions, 2019 was a great year to be a Jaguar fan.

Jaguar fans have witnessed a lot of change over the last several years. Much of it, honestly, for the better. Jag and Land Rover have developed some seriously impressive machines lately, and the immediate future looks incredibly bright. With a host of exciting new models (and some returning ones) on the horizon, now is a great time to be a Jaguar fan.

We at Jaguar Forums always like to take a look back before we move forward, of course. And 2019 proved to be a year worthy of reflection. From record-breaking performances to new model unveilings and everything in between, it was certainly a great year for Jaguar enthusiasts. And we can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for us.

Jaguar XE SV Project 8

Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Sets New Nurburgring Record, Again

The XE SV Project 8 is easily one of the most exciting products to come out of Jaguar in a long time. So we weren’t surprised when it reset the record for the fastest four-door production car around the legendary Nurburgring back in 2017. Jag tried again in 2019, however, and proceeded to beat its own record with a best lap time of 7 minutes 18.361 seconds. Which just so happens to be a whopping seven seconds faster than the next best four-door has mustered.

Jaguar E-Type at The Quail

Four Gorgeous Jaguar E-Types Show up at The Quail

Monterey Car Week is one of our very favorite events of any year. But this year’s happenings at The Quail portion of the show were better than most. There, we saw not one or two, but four incredible E-Types on display. The quartet represented the entire spectrum of conditions, as well. One was a well-kept one-owner car. Another, lightly restored. One was simply cleaned up, and the other was fully restored. But all are equally beautiful in our eyes.

Jaguar F-Type Checkered Flag Limited Edition

F-Type Checkered Flag Celebrates Brand’s Sports Car Heritage

The Checkered Flag Limited Edition F-Type may not be much more than an appearance package, but it’s a very good one. And most importantly, it exists solely to pay homage to Jaguar’s illustrious racing history. It’s a subtle nod, with a white exterior adorned with a black roof. But inside, a host of embroidery and badging reveals the car’s true mission. And it’s a nice sendoff for this current-gen F-Type.

Jaguar XJS

Gorgeous V-12 Powered Flamenco Red Jaguar XJS Stuns

Everybody loves a big, V-12 powered Jag drop-top. And this gorgeous XJS that popped up at Bring a Trailer early this year is one of the nicest examples you’ll ever lay eyes on. These big comfy cruisers offer up a ton of value these days, but even this one’s amazingly low sale price of $8,600 is still hard to comprehend. Then again, perhaps we’ll just keep these cars as our little secret.

Jaguar XJ

Jaguar XJ Is a Perennially Underrated Masterpiece

Speaking of underrated and unappreciated machines, we’re still appalled at how few people have jumped on the XJ train. And we aren’t the only ones. These are still great looking cars with incredibly comfortable interiors, and can be had with some serious power as well. Regardless, you can still buy very nice XJs for pennies on the dollar compared with other similar luxury offerings.

Range Rover Sport

Are Jaguar and Land Rover Reliability Criticisms Warranted?

Both Jaguar and Land Rover have suffered from a ton of criticism related to their overall reliability for some time now. In some cases, that criticism has been warranted. But for the most part, our members find that this noise is largely overblown. There are plenty of reliable Jaguar and Land Rover models out there, and both brands don’t deserve to be lumped in this singular category.

Jaguar F-Type

Best Ways to Add Power to Your F-Type

The F-Type remains one of the most popular Jaguar models among our forum members. And it’s one of our favorites, too. They’re pretty quick in stock form, but also pack plenty of potential for upgrades. And this forum thread explores all of the ways you can unleash more power from your F-Type. It’s a comprehensive guide, and one valuable for those looking to up the performance of their modern-day Jag.

2021 Jaguar F-Type

Jaguar Reveals Details of Refreshed 2021 F-Type

Speaking of the F-Type, perhaps the biggest Jaguar news of 2019 was the unveiling of the refreshed 2021 model. Unlike most automotive manufacturers, Jag wasn’t shy about revealing all the details on its new ride. Including the fact that it’s going to come equipped with a lot more power. With an entirely new front and rear end and the addition of some new tech, the next-gen F-Type certainly looks like a winner.

Land Rover Defender

New Land Rover Defender Debuts at L.A. Auto Show

Land Rover’s iconic Defender is one of the most legendary nameplates in automotive history. And when the newest iteration made its North American debut at the 2019 L.A. Auto Show, it unsurprisingly drew some pretty massive crowds. Personally, we can’t wait to get behind the wheel of one, and we imagine that it’s going to be a volume seller for the brand.

Jaguar I-Pace

Jaguar Boosts I-Pace Range Thanks to Track Based Research

The I-Pace was Jaguar’s very first foray into the production EV world, and it’s been an impressive entry without a doubt. But range is always an issue with electric vehicles, of course. Jaguar managed to squeeze an extra 12 miles out of the I-Pace this year, which it offered up as a free update to owners. The most surprising thing? It found these extra miles as a result of its racing efforts.

This past year has been a great one for Jaguar fans, and 2020 is shaping up to be even better. So be sure and stick around, because Jaguar Forums will be bringing you all the latest news and insights as they happen!
