Jaguar I-PACE eTrophy race car shows new era of racing at Motorsports Reunion.

I-PACE eTrophy is a support race series for FIA Formula E. Both feature all-electric race cars, at the opposite ends of the spectrum. While the Jaguar I-TYPE Formula E car is a spec racer, close in form to an F1 car, the I-PACE eTrophy is equally not that far removed from the street car upon which is it based. Interestingly, this may be a case where the support series becomes more important to people than the pinnacle of electric racing.

After all, Jaguar is serious about electrification. Within four years, all Jaguar models will offer some form of it, after all. And their first ever EV, the I-PACE is brilliant to drive. It’s also very fast around the race track, in case you were wondering.

So it would make sense that, alongside historic racing machines at this year’s Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Jaguar has decided to showcase their electric car. We are big fans of the I-PACE eTrophy, and the way it looks. What do you think about the next generation of electric race cars?
