Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Attacks the Goodwood Hill Climb

Jaguar’s most powerful road-legal car makes it’s global debut.

It seems that the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has been the talk of the town for a while now. So, we think you won’t mind hearing more about it. Or, even better, listening to the orgasmic exhaust note from its 5.0L supercharged V8 engine. Before the familiar blue Project 8 arrived to the States to make its rounds, Jaguar had other plans. The brand thought it would be pretty neat to make its official debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Boy, did they knock it out of the park! It’s not a long clip, but there’s no harm in replaying it a few times. We certainly did.

The Project 8 won’t go on sale until the beginning of next year. That said, the pre-production model is fully operational as you can see and hear. It absolutely charges the 1.16-mile uphill course in anger. Not only is the Project 8 the most powerful road-legal Jaguar have ever made, but it also handles corners with ease and precision thanks to the trick suspension and wind tunnel-tested aerodynamics.

Making almost 600 horsepower and having a top speed of 200 MPH, the Project 8 is definitely not your average grocery-getter. As with all SVO projects, the Project 8 will be limited to only 300 worldwide. If you’re interested in one, I’d hurry before they’re all gone and you know they will be in no time at all.

So how many times did you watch the clip of the Project 8? Let us know on the forum!
