A company like Eagle deserves they royal treatment when it comes to video, and Petrolicious more than fits the bill.

Last week, I posted about legendary car designer Frank Stephenson’s take on the Jaguar E-Type. While he obviously loves the car, there are a couple of things he would improve, which given his critical eye, not to mention the nature of his profession, seems reasonable. That said, most people should probably not risk messing with the sheet metal of a legendary piece of kit like Jaguar’s masterful coupe. Virtually nobody is going to be able to improve upon something so close to perfection.

Though there are exceptions, over the years I’ve been pretty stingy when it comes to doling out praise for custom E-Types, particularly when the tweaks are anything more than superficial. But “virtually nobody” still means somebody, and when it comes to Jaguar’s masterpiece, the folks at Eagle are somebody indeed. Because while it feels almost heretical for me to write it, I actually think that some of its creations are better than the original. It’s kind of how I feel about The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day, in that they’re both prefect. One is just a little more perfect than the other.

Now, a company as committed to beauty as Eagle is deserved to be profile by similarly focused folks, which is why I thoroughly enjoyed this video from Petrolicious. There are very few channels on YouTube which come anywhere close to the gorgeous cinematography that characterizes the company’s clips, and Eagle’s handiwork truly comes to life when viewed through the lens of Petrolicious’ ace production squad. Seriously, I’ll never pass up an opportunity to watch these cars in motion, and this is deliciously sexy stuff. If you’re a fan of Jaguar, cars, art, or beauty in general, it’d be impossible not to enjoy it.

So provided you were all Scrooge McDuck, and had a giant vault of money you could swim in, which flavor of Eagle would you opt for? As you might be able to tell from the gorgeous pics in this post, I’d probably opt for the Low Drag GT, because if I were ever in the position to plunk down the coin for a boutique build like this, I’d also have a pristine original coupe to compare it to.

That said, I wouldn’t kick the Speedster, Lightweight GT, or Spyder GT out of my garage. Enjoy the video, and make sure to shoot me a message and tell me which Eagle you’d pick!
