Want to Buy a One-Owner 1974 Jaguar E-Type?
This numbers-matching 26,000 original-mile 1974 Jaguar E-Type boasts the 5.3-liter V12.
Our sister site 6Speed Online recently discovered this 1974 E-Type Series 3 up for auction as Lot #206 during Barrett-Jackson May 8-17 online-only auction. Here is the full listing courtesy of Barrett-Jackson:
Lot #206 – 26,271 original miles on this one-owner car. Powered by a matching-numbers 5.2-liter 12-cylinder engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Desirable color combination, and options include power steering and working factory air conditioning. It’s received a full service within last 18 months. Serviced items include brakes, tires, mufflers, air conditioning service, fuel system, carburetor rebuild, tune-up, fluid flush and more. A full file of receipts and a Jaguar Heritage Certificate accompany the car. Partial repaint in its original factory color of Green Sand. **PLEASE NOTE THIS LOT WILL NEED TO BE COLLECTED FROM BRIDGEPORT, CT**
As you can see from the photos, this one-owner E-Type is immaculate inside and out. A true museum-quality car (that we also hope will get driven the way Jaguar intended now and again) and a time-capsule back to the mid-’70s. It boasts a 272 hp 5.3L V12 capable of hauling this 4-speed roadster to 60mph in seven seconds.
The brown “Tobacco” leather compliments the E-Type’s “Green Sand” exterior paint, although the leather itself looks a touch more worn than 26,271 miles would suggest.
This stunning ’74 E-Type also includes the following documentation:
- An original manual
- Maintenance receipts
- A Jaguar Heritage Certificate with the vehicles production date (September 13, 1973)
