CAN-BUS Function for Stereo

I finally got my hands on the wiring schematic for my 2016 X260. It looks like the Audio Head Unit feeds 4 inputs into the Amplifier: Right, Left, Chime, Navi-HFM. I will be using a Helix DSP. I have typically only been able to feed the DSP from the amplifier outputs. but it looks like I can grab the signal before the amplifier processes it with this new car. I should be able to just assign R/Chime/Navi-HFM to all the right speakers and L/Chime/Nave-HFM to all the left speakers.
Does anybody see a problem with the chain of thought? My worry is that the amplifier also has CAN + and - connections and I'm unsure what those are doing with regard to the amplifier and the sound. Any help would be appreciated.

Just to close the loop for anybody that may come across this thread..
Yes, I was able to pull sound directly from those inputs, however it was only at one level. I could not control the volume or left/right/fade, EQ, etc. I had to pull from the output side, and I had to pull Front Tweeters, Front Midranges, Front Woofers, and Subwoofer to get a full signal into my DSP. Everything sounds good,
