Can I pair my phone to standard audio?
I dont have any original manuals for my car.
I have a standard factory fitted alpine radio/cassette player in my X-type
There are two buttons, one with a telephone and one with just a phone handset. How do i set these up or use them? or are they for some sort of plugin telephone

The easiest way to check is the try to put the Audio/Bluetooth into 'discovery' mode'
1. set you phone to discoverable
2. use the keypad to enter code ##3#*#
3. press Send/End.
If you have Bluetooth fitted, it will attempt to pair with your phone. If not, nothing will happen.

Nothing is happening, I press the telephone button and all i get is message on screen saying NO PHONE, type in the code and it just changes the CD because i've pressed the number 3.
I have been on Jags bluetooth compatibility site, put in the last 6 digits of my vin and it looks like it should work as it doesnt say it wont
