Help with low end bass
This is a repost since I'm not getting any response on my original. Can anyone help?

Essentially, I'm not getting any very low end bass using the line out from the existing sub-amp. Has anyone here supplemented their low end with an aftermarket amp and sub? Anyone notice the very bottom end of their music being present or not?
Thanks,
Oilstain

Thanks, but I'm talking about very low, lower than an 8 can do. ~35Hz or so.
The 12 that I have installed is potent to the sub-audible level, where you can still feel it, but not hear it, and the system is crossing over way above that.
I'll mess around with a tone generator on my phone, through the aux 2 port in the rear seat controls and see where it cuts off (maybe this weekend)
Thanks!

I took out my stock sub and replaced it and the spare tire with a 12" Infinity sub, an Orion XTR 9002 amp and an Audio Control LC7i. What I would try if I were you is to buy an LC2i (the two channel version) and then take signal from the existing speaker level outputs to the subwoofer or door speakers and run them through the LC2i. Then get a mono, class D sub amp. Something in the 300-500w range and run to a 12" woofer. Box volume should be in the range of 1 cubic ft. With the LC2i, you can add bass frequencies back into your music that the stock head unit is taking away to save the speakers that can't handle those frequencies at higher volume levels. Check out Audio Control's website for further explanation of how the technology works.

Thank you, I was looking at another member's install using an LC7i, that seems to be the ticket. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-audio-122700/ I like the bass compensation feature.
I have some leftover car audio stuff laying around. An old Orion HCCA D2400 for massive overkill bass, and an Alpine R12 in a sealed box.
I've also got an Infinity Reference 7540a good for 111wx4 RMS (2 Ohm stable).
I'll probably wind up using all this stuff, but the LC7i will let me do one part at a time since I don't have tons of time for installing car audio right now.
I've just got the Sub in with a Phoenix Gold xs2300 amp using the line out from the stock amp to the subs.

I have used these in other cars with awesome results. The tricky part is finding a good mounting location preferably on the frame of the seat.
