Default High End Speakers worth it without an amp?

I'm looking to replace my speakers (one sounds blown) on my 1996 XJS Convertible.

Is it even worth considering components if I'm not planning on installing an amplifier?

Thanks.

My advice is to keep it simple and moderate. Audio equipment upgrades are subject to the 90/10 principle in that you can obtain 90% of the absolute potential for 10% of the total cost. The remaining 10% potential will cost 90% of the potential total.
By all means do upgrade your speakers, but don't get crazy. Speakers are comparatively cheap and you should be able to find a good buy for less than $200. For instance I recently bought Focal 165A 6.5" component speakers for about $160.
