Generally speaking, in regards to the sub level, you can go two ways...ok, three maybe.

(1) if the OEM deck has a subwoofer level control, and you can keep the leads going to the new amps.

(2) new amps sometimes have their own 'gain' control via a small knob you could mount up front near the deck, under seat, etc, I know Polk mono amps have them, but its not as popular as they once were.

(3) for amps that don't have this (speaking from experience), I used a PAC part that acts as a gain control, it basically goes inline of the RCAs, so you can keep the amp gain up, but control its outpult via this control.

I use an Audio Control LC7i, this give me a few things:

- Subwoofer adjustment
- Head unit gain control, so i can virtually eliminate all floor noise
- AUX input for my IPD/MP3/XM sat radio.

My car looks complete stock except for my tweeter pods mounted on the dash...... and the speaker box in the trunk.
