Default S type R Subwoofer Upgrade - Elemental Designs 13Ov.2 dual 4 ohm

Hi everyone,

I am picking up the above mentioned sub later tonight. Has anyone heard this sub in person? Also, I'm still trying to decide if I should go ported or sealed. Fortunately I have a speaker box that is 1cu ft sealed that I'm going to try it in first. If it isn't enough then maybe I'll build a ported box. The amp is a kenwood 9104d running at 2 ohms and putting out right around 650 real world watts. The rest of the system is the stock alpine with the rear shelf subs removed.

I've not heard of them, but will perform some investigation. I'm new to this forum so I cannot see the pictures just yet. The sub's you're referring to, do they fit directly into the original sub woofer shelf and connect into the existing stereo or is there some other magic or as I like to say Majik that must be performed to have a fully functional system?

Default Sub Sounds

Keep it "sealed", It's a better sound and it's not as "Boomie". All around better sound sealed.

the sub box is built and I'm breaking in the sub slowly at relatively low volume with my home system until my car is out of the shop. The box ended up 1.13 gross cu ft and I used poly fill to make the box seem even bigger. The performance should be pretty dang awesome. The sub motor and magnet structure is massive.
