I've recently read a lot about folks installing this on ST on the board... Just search the forums for some specific instructions and pictures of installs.
The kit I purchased included very good detailed instructions. You can even find these online ahead of time if needed. Here
Just select your car and then "Accessory Fitting Instructions" to find the one you need.
FWIW, I was going to do this install myself, but ended up having a local car stereo installer do it for me instead since he only wanted $100 for the job. The dealer wanted hundreds for the same install. All went fine and it works great! Took the installer less than 2 hours for the job!

Rear screens S Type
I have the rear screens installed on my STR.
The resolution is not too bad. Also they do read various SD cards.
I did install it myself; it was very straight forward, but you need to be aware that it does need a power source to tap in to.
As it is Jaguar made, it is quite well engineered and my Australian spec STR had a power source close by that if I remember correctly I was able to piggyback.
You need to note that it is made for the later type interiors and the leather trim is piped, but the ivory colour it came with was a very good match to my sand interiour.
You need a seperate unit to play the cd/dvds, unlike the XJ unit which has the player built in, and I was able to buy 2 very cheaply(players only, no screens).
Plug in option is via a RCA connector only.
No ability to go HDMI/DVI.
It has a remote control and cordless headphones.
It fit well even with the electric headrests.

Hi George,
Here is the blurb from the options brochure, c.2006.
And also find attached the standard photos from this brochure.
The unit looks exactly the same in my car, what is missing in these publicity photos is a remote control that comes as part of this kit.
As there is only one remote, my kids fight over who is in control; and as it was only intended for LHD vehicles, they always get confused with the buttons designated 'Drivers screen' and 'Passengers screen'.
I will post some photos of how the whole thing looks in real life if you are interested.
You will note that it says it fits only 2007 vehicles onward......fit perfecly in my 2002STR, and the electric headrests were no problem!
"REAR SEAT CONNECTIVITY SYSTEM
Rear seat passengers can enjoy electronic
devices such as DVD players, camcorders,
games and MP3 players via two LCD screens
seamlessly integrated into the rear of your
S-TYPE’s front seat headrests. This innovative
technology also features a slot for memory
cards that can be used with MP3 players and
files, pocket PCs, PSPs (to store photos) and
videos. The dual-input system and wireless
headphones enable rear seat passengers to
enjoy two different audio/visual devices at the
same time. Fits 2007 model year and onward.

Hi
I don't appear to have permission to view profile pages or send PMs either - I assume because I've just (re)joined. If you mail them t'd be great. That address is so filled with spam and crap anyway I'm not too bothered about listing it here!
