Hi All, I've been using this forum quite a lot recently and they have been invaluable! Been a Jag owner for a couple of months having recently acquired a 1973 XJ6 4.2 in Old English White.
I've already used a few Aussie Jag Part Suppliers and it's been a bit hit and miss, but Jagdaim in Melbourne have been very good so far.

Hi all.
New to here, loving it so far, lots of very valuable info.
We've just got our first Jag, a 1977 series 2 XJ12 that we're looking to do a bit of a resto on and bring it back to it's former glory & then enjoy cruising in it for as long as we can.
Looking forward to chatting on here to like minded Jaggers.....

Hi all!
I'm new to the forums. I don't own a Jaguar yet but I plan to. I am thinking about an X-Type but could possibly go for an older XJ. My intro to the forums can be found here.
I joined to learn about the different models traits before buying, and then of course to share the experience of ownership once I do buy.
I am a part time photographer (although it seems like anyone with a camera is these days right?) and enjoy car-to-car photography, which I've done with some Ford and Subaru clubs before.

Look forward to getting to know some people.

Hey! Just joined the forum. I bought a late series 3 V12 Sovereign about 6 months ago. I've obsessed over Jags ever since I was about 6 yrs old and drooled over the MK X my elderly neighbour had. Mine is more practical for daily use - however for inner city parking I drive my Peugeot 206 gti 180. I love the pug but nothing makes me smile like being behind the wheel of a jag.

Hey guys. I've been posting in the XJ S1/2/3 forums. Thought I'd better introduce myself to the locals as well. I've got 71 XJ6 IT's mechanically ok but body desperately needs a respray. I've have given her a bit of polish in this pic so looks better here than in the flesh) If anyones got a contact for a budget respray here in Sydney I'd appreciate it. Don't want to spend $$ on a full bare metal resto. Just get her looking reasonable. Body, doors and sills appear rust free. I'd go with the same midnight blue colour and just re paint the outer panels.

Also anyone know where I can get the air con serviced here in Sydney. Looks to be all complete and functioning but air is not cold. It's an under dash unit. typical of the 70,s and has been updated at some stage to accept the new gas system regs. Hopefully there's not too much wrong with it. Thanks Davo

Hi. Dave from Waikanae on NZ's Kapiti Coast. Have a 73 Daimler Series 1 with 75 000 miles and a 96 X300 Daimler 4 litre with 88 000 km. Both fabulous cars but very different to drive.
A question on the X300. Mine's a ex-Singapore one and has the air injection system. Can this be removed, and is there any performance/reliability/economy advantage in doing so?

Hello all.
I've just joined and have a 1974 Series 2 XJ6 SWB. It's a little different as it was assembled in South Africa!
It's not in great shape as I bought it off eBay as a project for something completely different to do when not at work. I broke all the rules - only communicated by text, drove up to Sydney to view it knowing full well I wanted it and only saw it in the dark!
Having said that, the drive back was fantastic! I've owned about 30 cars over the years but I was grinning and giggling like an idiot going down the freeway that night! Probably set a PB from Sydney to my old hometown of Bowral. (Only to find later that this was all on five cylinders...).![Icon Verzsilly](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_verzsilly.gif)
Anyway, plodding along now - taught myself to be a novice MIG welder of Xmas and have started the long journey of patching.
Have many, many, many, questions so hope there's a lot of help out there!
Cheers,
Tony.
