Recommended dealers / Indys Australia NSW / ACT
Hi guys, just a quick thought here on this, something we have running in the UK section.
How about anyone with any experiences about a dealership / Indy making recommendations here?
We can then see at a glance any dealers / Indy's as recommended by forum users for good service, pricing, timely repairs etc etc.
Please feel free to add below by making a post about your experience and then add details of the dealership, names, tel numbers etc and also who is making the recommendation.
Something like this or similar....
List of recommended garages
1. Prestige Jaguar Glasgow ( JimC64)
2. Filton Central garage Bristol ( aardvark64 )
3. Thruxton Jaguar Andover ( Steve M )
4. Jagtech Ltd Stockton ( GGG )
5. H A Fox Doncaster ( Jimbov8 )
6. Jagcare Portsmouth ( Jimbov8 )
7. Les Pauls London ( Ngarara )
8. The Jag Specialist Doncaster ( JimC64 )
9. Prestige Jaguar (Glasgow ) Kingfisher
10. Alders Classics ( Norfolk ) Steve M
11. Jaguar Specialist. Greg Lummis ( Falmouth ) Robiz
12.Premier tyres Hamilton Hunter 4 wheel alignment specialist
13. Mackie's Transmission specialists ZF GB A1 RATED PARTNER ( Glasgow )

Ah yeah, I guess we never got 'round to making a list of local workshops...
And I can't really add much since I do just about everything myself...
There are a few British/Euro specialists in Sydney but honestly I don't think many if any of them would have much 1st-hand experience with an XFR..
Most people with these new models are taking them to the dealers, at least while the warranty is still valid, or until the cars have dropped enough value to make it "not worth taking to the dealer" would surprise me if anyone with a Jag under 5-7 years old is not taking them to dealers for servicing.

Well . . . not so . . . a search of numerous older threads here will reveal several recommendations, but agree with Cambo that few are yet likely to be full bottle on the XFR.
Paradise Garage would be my best bet in central Sydney. Take your pick on the North Shore. Further afield, Hills Jaguar at Arcadia . . . although my former recommendation in that area now seems absent . . . and, midway between Sydney and Brisbane, Denis Spagnolo at Coffs Harbour is the ultimate (and very reasonable) Jaguar magician.
Cheers,
Ken

Sorry the back-to-back post but have just found that [crowdedthehouse] hails from PMQ. Heck, we are almost neighbours, mate! Suddenly, Denis at Coffs Harbour makes even smarter sense . . . or take the drive even further north to the excellent services like Peninsular in the Brisbane area.
Denis will NOT have a raft of XFRs like yours (you lucky devil) but I would trust him to a fault to provide top quality service. Just to prove I have no family or business connection, tell him I recommended him. Now that I have moved to Inverell, he will probably laugh and charge you double!!! Just joking . . . he's a nice chap and runs a good team!
On another subject, note our thread on Tenterfield meet in March. Why not join in?
Cheers,
Ken

Hi Ken
good to see you're back. I haven't posted in ages as I've been doing the grand circuit around Oz (in Lexus RX350). Finally gave up on no DPF. Too much smoke; too much turbo lag. Bit the bullet and imported new DPF from UK (about two thirds price of unit here). Had original codes reinstalled. Now runs perfectly. No more "DPF full" messages.
Cheers Phil

Hey Phil . . . thanks for kind words and like you, after your grand tour, it's good to be back!
Your advice recommending World Class Autos at Peakhurst is uncanny . . . over Christmas, my brother in Sydney was extolling their service also. In his case, added praise came via referral of his Citroen . . . unlike Jaguar, a weird collation that can't speak a word of English!
I would normally discount any of Rob's advice . . . I mean, how could you trust a driver who yells "MERDE!" at other drivers, unless they drive a Citroen, Peugot or Renault, whereupon he greets them with "BON JOUR" or MAIS OUI" or similar.
But praise from Phil, a learned and respected Jaguarphile, puts a totally different slant on things. I mean, for a start, Phil speaks English!
Cheers mate,
Ken
