Terribly British Day Dec 1st
Took my car down to the "Terribly British Day" in Queenbeyan on 1st December. A good roll-up of cars present, but a few too many modern cars for my liking. For example , the only classic Aston was a 1970 DBS, Jaguar had a mixed display of old and modern. a decent row of E types and a couple of Mk Vs were there as well as Mk II and four XJ series 1.
Jensen and Armstrong Siddley were very well represented. After the show I drove down to our holiday cottage in Cooma. It was the longest drive I have undertaken since being getting the car back on the road. Two problems, both which appeared calamitous at the time, but were easily rectified (more info on my XJ thread). Averaged 24.5mpg for the round trip - car ran very smoothly.
