Hi Neil, I assumed booking a spot would not be necessary as the details I have read say "No pre booking reqd". I am not in a club, a few JF members from Qld will be rolling up together. Probably meet for coffee or breakfast before gates opening time.
I have not been to an all British day before, if you have been to one could you post a bit of info on how it all goes down.
I will contact the organisers next week to see if we need to do more then just rock up.

Are you planning to come along?

Default Windscreen Sticker

Just a thought, most car shows etc display a window sticker or club identifier of some sort. This one would be 64mm X 84 mm laminated and applied with double sided tape rather than a self adheasive sticker.(re-usable)
Here is an idea, feedback please. I can do them for the other states as well but will have to post them for NSW by Tuesday 9th.

I have been to the ABD a couple of times & have been directed to park with the JDCQ group (Jaguars ) although I am not a member of the club.

As far as I know booking a spot is basically for a club or group ( us ) not individuals otherwise we would probably just park anywhere.

I had not planned to go this year but that may change now.

The window sticker or club identifier is a great idea, but why not make it something that could / would be available to all oz members, small charge to cover cost & postage. Probably need a banner as well to identify the group.

Hi Neil, banner is all sorted,
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...banner-123075/

As for the window identifier, I have one ready to go for each region . Just haven't had time to contact the the other RC's around Australia yet.
No cost involved to produce them, just a postage stamp and envelope from my end.

I have tried to contact both numbers on the flyer to find out about booking a space, no replies from either.
I have also sent an email, same thing. Guessing we just show up and see where we are directed to.

Clarke

We did not have you in our database, however you are now.
You will have a space allocated with the other Jaguar clubs on the lower field.

Regards

Max Johnson
We have a space for 5-6 cars booked. At this point we have four starters and 1 maybe. So six should be ample spaces. I am sure they will fit in more if we get more than six starters.

Hi Clarke

Since when do Aussies fly the British flag , I thought we were the Queensland, / Australian contingent of a world wide forum group. The only flag that will fly on or be placed on my cars is the Austalian flag, The car may be British but I am not a ten pound POME,

NO WAY

I would go for the Jaguar Forum logo on it's own, quite unobtrusive. Not big on stickers on cars but I am only one of many here so what do others want ???

Here is an idea,feedback please.
They will be removeable, not self adheasive pressure sensitive stickers.

Here yah go!

All British Day Queensland-jfq-logo-comic-sans-bold.jpg
I'll get these sorted, no one else has had input so far so I guess we have made a majority decision.
I'm not a sticker guy myself, all my cars have a small sticker on the front and rear of some sort identifying that the car has a motorcyle friendly driver.(believe me,we bike riders spot them from 200 meters)
1.Mazda 3 has a small "27" Casey Stoner aus flag logo in the centre of the reg plates.
2.My XJ Jeep has a "MSMCQ",motorcycle sportsmans club of Qld sticker on the tow bar.And 70's Mobil pegasus drive safely sticker as does my camper trailer as they do a lot of highway miles in school holidays when nearly every Dad is in a rush.
3.My XJ 6 has a "IOM" TT badge on the centre of the rego plates. And "Fireball" very small on the front(if that is all I have to do keep the wife happy, since she named the car after the Mt Glorious fire incident) .

KK Cherokee,undecided Yet.

All discrete, but recogniseable by fellow riders.

Nothing really to do with the interfering Pom 10K miles away from Brisbane but this would be my choice:

All British Day Queensland-jfq-logo-comic-sans-bold.jpg

The forum logo gets a bit lost in the earlier Union Flag versions.

Thanks Graham, I am just the ideas guy. I work on GD & P(graphic Design and Print) , so we fit as much or as little as the people want.

I think we have a design that will work.
Believe me when I say " most people want to squeeze as much as possible" into a design. That is why I take no offence to opinion or rejection of ideas.
My ideas have been questioned for the last 25 years as a freelance GD,probably why I am still cash poor, lol.

Hello, it is only four days away and no one has thrown any ideas up for a place to meet before the ABD.
So I will make a suggestion, not a plan for the day. The rest of you jump in and add your two cents worth,so we can make a plan

The grounds open to the public at 8.30 am,the gates open for cars at 7am, the organisers have said they would aim to have all cars in the grounds before 8am.

I was thinking of meeting at McDonalds, Jindalee(10-15 minutes from St Josephs) for coffee/breakfast around 6-6.30am. Then heading off from there together so we can park our cars side by side in the Jaguar area, rather then being spread out.
I mainly chose Jindalee McDonalds as it on the off-ramp of the Centenery Highway and easy to find, people who live in Brisbane will know the Centenery Highway(Western Freeway),people from outside Brisbane will easily find it.

Address is
McDonalds Jindalee
Cnr Goggs Rd and Seventeen Mile Rocks Rd,
Jindalee(opposite 7/11 Service Station).

At the Jindalee/Oxley offramp from the Centenery Highway.

Fell free to throw in other ideas you have, this is no plan, Simply a suggestion.

Neil, you have got to cross the river at Indooroopilly or Jindalee anyway, If you change your mind we will be there for coffee around 6.15-6.30 (you got my mobile in a pm).
Otherwise, look forward to meeting you there.
