Sorry, nothing happening tomorrow. We just threw some dates out there and let the thread develop, it became the Euro Day at Lakeside.
Great to see you have booked, did you book a VIP package. If so PM me the name you booked under and I will call Qld Raceways on Monday to make sure we have 5 spots side by side.
If you want I can meet you at Nudgee service centre(McDonalds car park) off the gateway at 6.30am so we can make our way to the meeting point together.

If not we will see you at the Meeting point, see below.
I have now also booked a VIP bay next to Paul, James and Clarke.
Clarke, and others coming up from the south who would like to meet up before the Lakeside gate, easiest place is probably Mackas (for a 7am brekky?) on Anzac Ave at Kallangur. Those coming down from the north are also welcome, but Kallangur is not on your most direct route to Lakeside.

Sounds like it is all coming together.
I have to make a quick dash to Melbourne Friday and arriving back in Brisbane midnight Saturday, will see you all at the meeting point. Maybe half asleep but I will be there.
Just spent the day cleaning Fireball and fixing the manifold gasket since I was going to do that Saturday afternoon.

My neices 21st. Kirsty and Sarah were going on their own. As I was working and had Euro day, Sunday. But my shift got changed yesterday and it was pointed out to me by more than one I was missing a 21st for a day with car guys.
Can't argue with 3 big sisters, my mother and her indoors can I.
Compromise, I get Friday/Saturday to catch up with family. Stay for the first few hours of the 21st then "red eye" it back to Brisbane to for a day with car guys.
Everybody is happy!

Just had an SMS from QR Raceways
The track challenge is 2 Timed 5 lap sprints
Trophy's for the three fastest laps and overall three fastest
Dont think I will be in the running as I'd still be learning the rack for the second session
If you want in for these you need a helmet, closed shoes, long sleeve shirt and pants. There is no scrutineering, you just sign a form that the car is registered and roadworthy
Cheers

The closer it gets the more I think I will have a go. I did thousands of laps of that track in 1988-1993 in gokarts, cars and bikes, I think I still know where the slow line is to let the fast guys through(lol).
I know the track, but know I will be the slowest out there.
Doe's the fire extinguisher have to be in the passenger foot well? it usually doe's for track sessions.

No requirements for the cars so no extinguisher is ok
You just need to sign a form saying the car is ok
The only requirements are for the driver
Funny thing is im always ready for the track with the red tow hooks and extinguisher fitted. The fog lamps always have the contact film fitted as well. The battery and tow stickers live in the boot ready for attaching
Ill just throw in my race bag and im ready to go
PS they don't even want to check the helmet spec and date so any old one will do
Cheers

This is gonna be awesome. You still doing the cruise as well Clarke?
Also, not sure if you guys been following their faceboom page but they are gonna have some cool Euro autos on display including a Porsche 962![Smile](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Hopefully see some racing Jaguars also as they had a GEARs event many months ago now with a TWR XJS and also an XJ6-C with all the sports body kit and racing livery.
Fingers crossed.
