Forum Shirts
At one of our recent outings I suggested to Paul that it would be great if we had a shirt that would identify us as a group. I've done a little investigating and approached a local supplier for a price.
The shirts are a good quality polo dress shirt and not BRG but a similar colour called Forrest Green with a white piping at $24.80 each. Extra cost of $10 for any logo (on LHS) and $6 for a name (on RHS) brings the total cost to $40.80 per shirt.
For a minimum order of 20 shirts they will waive the $75 logo setup fee.
I've enclosed a suggested logo and would like suggestions please on the logo and your thoughts on whether or not to continue with the idea.
Cheers, Doug.

I like the idea Doug, and it is worth following up. But like anything here getting the numbers is hard work, ie All British Day.
Getting 15 cars out at once is a lot of work, as you would know from car clubs etc.
It would be great if we could get 20 people to commit to purchasing one. There are the NSW,SA, VIC guys too that might be interested.
I could send out a group message to all Qld members and get Jim & Grant to do the same in NSW & SA, and post in the Vic forum as well. We can't send a picture of the shirt in messages but I could put a link to your thread.

Thanks Clarke, Even if we can get 10 or so firm orders I'd be happy to pay for the rest and sell them as interest developed. They do women's sizes as well as men's. Just wanted to get some feeling if members think it a good idea or not. And some thoughts on the Logo please - I'm no graphics wizard. I think the embroidery would be better quality than screening - though not sure that the embroidery can do the fade colour in the blue. It may have to be just one straight colour. I personally like the idea of having names on the shirt too, so newer members can relate easier at outings. We'll see how it goes. Cheers.

I'll contact the shirt supplier to see if I can pay for 20 shirts but order them individually as orders and names come to hand. I don't think there would be any problem with that. I'd still like some professional input for the logo if possible.
Then we just need another outing to get together to distribute them. :-)

Very cool Shirt. i see all of you are in the land down under. What about the rest of us? I'm guessing the shipping would be ridiculous. We'd probably need to find a Shirt company over here as well. I wonder if anyone else would go for it. Any thoughts or ideas??? Anyone???

Update on sizes Doug . . . mens XXXL for "Ken" and ladies size 16 for "Meg".
BTW, we both love your graphics. Embroiders should have no problems with that or the brilliant idea of name on opposite side. I reckon others in NSW & VIC will pick up on this great initiative also. Great work Doug!
Cheers,
Ken
