Are we gonna do the VIP thing again? How do we make this happen?
You have to call Queensland Raceways to book a VIP package (really the only way to go). You get under cover parking, so shelter from the sun when not out on the track)
The contact number for booking is in post #1 of this thread.
Once everyone who is coming has booked I will do the same as last year and call Qld Raceways and get them to give us side by side pit bays.

Alrighty....I just rang up Queensland Raceways (1800 RACEWAYS (1800 72239297)) and booked my VIP pass. It costs $100. That is entry into the show n shine, entry to the park, my own bay in the pits and two cruise sessions.
I told the lady I was with Jaguar Forums and and that we are hoping to have a few more so asked her as we ring up to slot us together.
She said no problem just mention Jaguar Forums when you book it and she'll put us together.
Hopefully we don't have a repeat of my late scratching.
If you remember last year I was a demoted to passenger in Clarke's car as mine had spat a gearbox code the night before.
Snags sound like a great plan.
I am looking forward to it.
+1 for that
It will also add some class in a sea of eurotrash:icon_redcam
But seriously best thing for it is a run on the track, you guaranteed not to be running it at a constant speed and rpm and there is not pressure to flog the car or go faster than you are comfortable with
Very tempting...I might have to sit this one out coz we will be in the middle of a kitchen reno and my missus might not appreciate me bailing on her. But if I can, I'll make the effort. It sounds like a great day.
The car just arrived yesterday afternoon. Initial thoughts are that the 280KW 6 supercharged is much more usable for a person of my skill level than the supercharged 8 in the XKR. The steering and gearbox are awesome (the 8 speed suits the higher powered engine much better than it does the 177KW 4 pot turbo in the XE in my opinion). The suspension is softer than the base f type (you can dial it up) but is still firmer than the XKR. Probably the same as the XKR in dynamic mode.
Audio and media are much better than the setup in the XKR but that is to be expected, I never liked the B & W system in any of the jags and the meridian is far superior for the music that I listen to.
Driving is just super fun. Not as fearsome as the XKR, more clinical but still with plenty of agro. Getting in and out is not as much fun.
