G'day guys.

A little quiet on the vote so just wondering:

Do we keep the 19th of November and park our cars just outside in the carpark or do we try for October 29th and see if we can get on the grass?

We have one vote either way at the moment and I would also probably prefer to keep 19th of November however it doesn't really worry me.

I was just wanting to get back to management for Sandstone point to let them know.

Thoughts?

Location: Oyster Shack, Sandstone Point (across from Bribie Island)
When: Proposed 19th of November.

Starters:
1) James (34by151)
2) Paul (paulyling)
3) Clarke and Kirsty (o1xjr) + maybe Dr Phill
4) Doug & Lois (ozxj)
5) Peter & Sandra (BrucetheQuail)
6) Pete (gardcycl)
7) Rod (rocketa9x)

We already have a decent list of people committed for the 19th, if we move the date closer to Christmas there is a good chance some of them will have other functions on.

ok we'll lock in the 19th then as it may be our only chance before Chrissie to get us all together. (even though it would have been nice to park on the grass)

So...

Welcome to the forum Frank, it's always good to have new members along to our outings.

It's probably not a good Idea to have your address listed in your location. Just Suburb or City & Country is good.

Please post an intro in the new member area when time allows for a warm welcome.

Yes mate confirmed. 19th of November. Do you think we need to book tables at the Oyster Shed? It is a pretty casual affair outdoors but might just in case.

Given the arranged event on the day I don't think you'll be able to book any tables Paul. We might just have to get there early and take our chances. But please try anyway. :-)

The Oyster Festival is the day before (Sat 18th)
We can book tables up at the pub but dont think we can at the shed

Ive had a rear air strut failure and the park break has decided to jam itself on.
Neither are a big issue to fix but not sure if I will get it done in time for the 19th as we are in the middle of building the new shed. If its not ready we will still come in another car

Cheers

G'day James.

Sorry to hear about your wheels mate. Hope you can get it sorted. I just got back in town today. Queensland is hot!

That might slow you down a bit James. Not for long though. Hope you get it fixed soon.
I'm still having issues with the rear brakes. I think it is the ABS pump that is the problem now. It's running but not putting out any pressure. Doesn't look like a 'serviceable' part either. Looking for another now....
Would be good if you could book a couple tables Paul. The oyster shack has some tables but probably not bookable. It's a good spot down by the sea.
Cheers, Doug.

Hi Paul My daughter works at the Sand Stone Hotel she said they wont take bookings for the oyster shack so get there early . She suggested if they wont allow us to park on the grass park at the rear of the car park which is allocated for staff parking which means limited vehicle movement . She also told me to mention they also have a spit roast at weekends for those that rather than fish & chips . Looking forward to the day . If you feel I can get further information get back to me .
Cheers Frank
