Over heat
So i'm driving up to O'reilly's and if you have been its up hill at around 40 to 60 for quite some distance. Poking along nice and steady and the X300 temp gauge rises fast. So i stop, turn off the engine and watch the gauge go into the red. Them with a loud anouncement, blows the top hose off the radiator. After around 45 minutes, it cools and i start taking water bottles from the passing traffic.
Another hour and we are on our way to the top.
After destroying a Torago and a Ford with over heating, i am tempted to take a closer look at the water pump. No mucking about. If in doubt, change it out. Same goes for the thermestat.
Bugger of a day, but no damage.
