Tamborine Mountain/Gold Coast Hinterland Drive. February
#22
I love Mt Tambourine area.
One of my favourite spots is the St Bernard Hotel:
St Bernards Hotel
For those who don't know it is an English style pub with beautiful views of the hinterland and has a cool old St Bernard dog roaming ....or should I say...lazying about.
Food is Pub Fare. Beers are good. View is great and not too expensive. View is amazing and from memory their would be enough room to line up the Jags...however maybe busy on a Sunday I guess.
You can even stay overnight next door in a bed and breakfast style accomodation. I have done that before. It was cool. (would be additionally keen for that if we were to go with this place)
Just my 2c worth . Highly recommended

Ok all, we have possible venues for lunch. Time we decided where we are going. My choice would be O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat | Accommodation, Attractions, Activities, Gold Coast Hinterland, Australia - O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, starting from Oxenford, over Tamborine mountain then through Cunungra and up to O'reillys for lunch. But that is just my 2 cents worth....
O'riellys is at Lamington National park, for those wanting to stay on after lunch there is the tree top walk and great views.
And organise a meeting point for the guys coming from Sunshine Coast/Northside.
What do rest of you think? If you have ideas or other preferences throw it in.

Hi Paul, There is a small 'Black Box' attached to the alternator that gives the same symptoms when it fails. Have you checked that yet before replacing the Alternator. I had the same problem a year or so ago. Didn't find out until AFTER I repalced the Alternator and still had the problem. Give me a call if you'd like to talk about it. 0412 675 528. Cheers, Doug.

XJ6 Series three. Cold start valve appears to not be working. Is there a simple way to determine if it is faulty valve or thermo switch? I had same problem in 450slc, paid 80 for used valve, wasnt that so i put a push button on the dash. I dont really want to do that on my Jag ( 60yrs a butcher) Many thanks if you can help

That makes 17 people so far. I will book for 20 for now.
You guys from the North Side and Sunshine Coast should start planning a meeting point if you want to drive down together.
