Ok, lets make it 9.30 at the meeting point. It is about 1 1/2 hour drive.
That will give us a bit of time to chew the fat and wait for anyone running a bit late. And allow for a photo or two on the way.
I will PM my ph number to those coming in the next few days so we can be in touch on the day.
Please bring cash if possible, the manager did want to only have a single bill for the group. But after a bit of a discussion (with langauge barrier) he is going to try and accommodate separate orders for us on the day.
It is up to you guys from the north to work out an earlier meeting point if you want. Just make sure all are clear on the timing.
Meet at the Oxenford Tavern around 9.30am.
179 Old Pacific highway, Oxenford
Drive to North Tamborine via Tamborine-Oxenford Rd
Carry on to Cunungra then take the Lamington National Park Rd to O'Reilly's.
Lunch at O'Reilly's Mountain Cafe
After lunch go our own way(or together) to explore the area, or just head for home.
Austpost as reliable as ever. Tracking says it has been at the local post office since Wed, just not here. How can it take 5 days to get around the world and 2 weeks to get across a city?
Legend with a big CAPITAL "L" - I have done a few engine replacements in my time but not under that much pressure time wise. Good luck with the road test.
Just today took our XJS out to fuel up for Sunday and it has now developed a surging throttle. Not sure what the problem could be just yet and have other obligations tomorrow so may not get to look at it then. We'll probably have to turn up in the 'other' Jag on Sunday. Might have to get one of the XJ40's out for a wash and a run.
See you all tomorrow, looks like 21 people if all turn up.
I am planning to be at the meeting point around 9.15- 9.30.

Yes, we will be coming in the XJ40 now. Parking in front of the shops near to the exit road from the center. Looks like just Paul and James, Stu and Lois and me. See you all around 7:45.

It was nice meeting up with at least a few of you this morning and driving a bit with you. I really don't need much of an excuse to jump in the car and go for a drive!

Just got home had a great time
Nice to put name's to faces
Thanks Clarke for putting it together
my wife enjoyed meeting the other half as well
Hope all the northsiders made it home with no drama's
Thanks to everyone for making it a great day
Yes thanks to all as well. We had a great time. Was a nice round trip (6 hours) for us but the Blue Goose behaved. The only issue was my speedo died on the way home....will have to look into that.
Thank you all for coming along and making it great day out, great company and conversations.
A bunch of nice cars, being at the back of the line I could see plenty of people checking out the line of Jaguars. Especially driving through the Gallery walk on Tamborine Mountain.
Lovely driving roads, and a perfect 250 mile run in for my two day old engine. Couldn't be happier with the new power plant. 11 1/2 hours after leaving home this morning we are back with a well behaved cat in the garage.
Thank you all again, hope to see you all next time out.
Pit Stop at the Bearded Dragon
We dropped in at the Bearded dragon for short stop, but they had an afternoon of Booze, blues and cane toad racing on so we stayed until 5.30pm.
We got in a bidding war with others and ended up with 3 toads in the race, named them Minion, Jaguar & Dr Phill. Cost $95 for the 3 toads, Jaguar came in 3rd and won us back $20 witch was donated back to the rural fire Brigade.
I love the picture of Doug's car with the cop and his car in the background makes the Jag look cool (LOL)
