Hi Paul

I like that Jag a lot, (let's call her Jagalot!) and I will tell you why, first off a really great Colour 'Westminster Blue' 'I think' together with nice wheels.

But best of all She's 'Dual Fuel' which means you can either run on Petrol or Propane.

And when you see that Fuel Gauge, drop at the Speed of a plummeting lift, you might start liking Propane quite a lot!

That Propane Conversion must have cost over a Grand but the age of her pulls the price down to $5k or $6k in my book.

None of your questions are Stupid by the way! as 2,000+ people are tuning in to be entertained and learn about the Trials and Tribulations of Buying an XJS in your entertaining Epic Saga!

So keep going 'Blue' you are definitely on the right track!

Default Congratulations to a new Jaguar XJS owner

Hi Paul, and let me offer you my warmest congratulations for bringing your spirited and entertaining search to such a happy conclusion.

Your thanks to people like Grant and Clarke, really does underline the depth and breadth of experience here on the one hand, and local knowledge and enthusiasm on the other. You mention starting a new thread to record your experiences as a new XJS owner, and I do suggest you do this in the appropriate model specific section of the forums ... but then jump back to our Aussie sections to keep abreast of local happenings.

Congratulations once more Paul, and best wishes,
Ken

Ken, I thought you must have been taking some "me time" on the north coast, but you have reappeared just like the wise old owl you are.lol.

And Paul, do post any threads specific to "Blue Goose " in the XJS forum unless they are of a local nature like finding parts loacllay etc.

Cool pics. heh that looks like Maleny. I know that bookstore! I was searching for Jack Kerouac books one day and you know what, i remember some dude had a Jag parked up the end of the main street (Cant remember what it was now) just as you leave Maleny heading toward Kenilworth. That musta been a few years ago.

I would have liked to have been the First to Congratulate You! but it looks as though I am going to be one of the last!

But in any event Welcome to The Club!

The thing that makes this Forum different from any other, is that we are not just 'Jag Owners' but 'Dyed In The Wool Enthusiasts', who really love our Cars.

Where afflictions like OCD are considered quite normal and 'par for the course'

Its never nice when they go wrong but always a source of great satisfaction when you finally fix it and stop wishing that you'd bought a normal Car!

So will be really looking forward to you entertaining us all with your Adventures.

May I wish you many years of happy motoring!

Nice work welcome to the jaguar ownership club

Just wondered if you had seen this one http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/strat...upe/1053172109
the price is right plenty of room to spend and quite a few jaguar specialists in Melbourne to get it inspected just get a permit and drive it home LOL

If you are not a purist then this onehttp://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/merma...hev/1047931666 belongs to my mate he has had it for 15 years already and its very quick just not a V12

There is one problem with owning jaguars you never get satisfied owning just 1

Funny thing my father in-law lives in Maleny

If you see a black XJ8 X350 model that me or a blue XJR6 that sound like no other and is mint that's me as well LOL

I also added a pic of the one that started it all a 93 Sovereign that was the beast that got me started

Remember Jaguar ownership is a sometimes painful experience but its also addictive and pleasurable as well
Something some women will never understand yet they will spend money on shoes and clothes that they only wear once or twice and scoff at us for spending money on a car
They will also say why don't you just get a new one style is not necessarily brand new or expensive it in the eye of the beholder Enjoy LOL
