No hang on I've got Two!
Looks lovely when clean but otherwise shows every mark.

Alright boys lets sink our teeth into this one. Cheers OG for the heads up:
1984 Jaguar XJS HE
1 picture
Well, its a HE...good....pre Marelli...not so good...price...not too bad
Kms? Pretty high but then again looks like at least it was being used. From my readings and talking with you guys, a high odometer is not necessarily a bad thing.
comments section......he aint no Grant thats for sure!

I agree Clarke. Ny XJ-S took 3 years to sell a while back. The X300 is just sitting up there, NO nibbles at all, oh well, life continues to rotate.
Paul,
That car is a dealer, not sure on that one, as the dealer networks down here have stayed right away from the XJ-S, and V12 in general, for a very long time.
It has the Walkinshaw look alike (a guy in Qld was making them a looooong time ago, and got into hot water with copyrights etc?) bumpers fitted, and a S2 leaper on the bonnet.
The wheels do NOTHING for me, then the size and tyre profiles kind of yells, "riced", and maybe driven HARD, and maintained LITTLE.
The paint is a respray, so the quality is unknown. Then comes the under bonnet, door jambs, door innards, boot interior, colours. The OE colour was throughout the WHOLE car, so to do that car in that colour PROPERLY would mean a TOTAL dismantle, I dont think so.
I would not go any further with it, but if you want the phone numbers I will get them, but I smell a con job.

I reckon You,me ad Doc are the only Queenslanders that have looked.
You are in good hands with everybody jumping in to give their two cents worth.
Just think of the reading you would have if you started the thread in the XJS forum where all the experts hang out....maybe next time.

ha ha ha ha. You guys are keeping me sane out here!
Heh guys
tell me about the whole VIN number deal. When you inspect a vehicle, you gotta make sure the VIN number matches up with the engine number right? And whats the deal where you can check to make sure no repayments are owned on the vehicle or its stolen. I remember reading about it somewhere.

But all states will have what you need to know on their Government web site
Check here for securities on the car.http://www.ppsr.gov.au/
All you need to know about buying a car is here .
http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/Registrati...d-vehicle.aspx
Buyers' and sellers' checklists (Department of Transport and Main Roads)
I like the ocean view you have there.

When I refer to RWC(Road Worthy Certificate), that is the old name for it. It is now a "Safety Certificate". After so many years of using the term road worthy I forget to say "Safety Cert".
So people referring to RWC,Road Worthy Certificate,Road Worthy,Main Roads Inspection, are all referring to what is now known as "Safety Certificate"

And another new listing
1988 Jaguar XJS Coupe | Cars, Vans & Utes | Gumtree Australia Swan Area - Bellevue | 1049993866
The add mentions V12 variant and 3.6 litre. I'm assuming it is a 6 as the owner would know if it was 5.3 litre, but not knowing the number of cylinders is not that unusual.
