Default Looking for good early 4.2 jag motor

Wondering if anyone has, or knows of a good early 4.2 lt. jag motor for sale? Needs to have front engine mounts- (later 4.2's had engine mount in centre of block) - to be installed in '68 420G.

Appreciate any assistance thanks!

You don't have to go for an early XJ6 motor. The front engine mounts from a 420 will fit onto any XJ6 block. What confuses the system is that later XJ6 engines are still drilled as per the early 420 blocks but these bolt holes are used for different purposes such as mounting airconditioning pumps etc.

We have already adapted a Series 2 XJ6 engine and fitted it to a 420 Daimler. I also had a Series 2 engine in a MK10. Its a pity you are in Vic and I am in QLD as I have a spare Series 2 motor you could have for half a dozen slabs of beer.
