Default SE . . . Special Equipment; in Australia, the LUXURY version

As above . . . great cars, significant differences in engines, gearboxes, interiors, trim etc.
Note the later models incorporate these improvements in revised exterior.
Suggest more detailed info in JF section dedicated to this model and all variants.

However, a general comment is that from (say) mid 90s, Jaguar Australia deemed that many Oz buyers wanted all the gizmos and options.
Hence the majority are SE. To my mind, none are badged as such, and were generally marketed as the 'Luxury' version.

Best wishes, and keep us posted . . . love to see pics!
Cheers,

Ken

Default No S-Type 4WD or AWD

Aaah, not so I'm afraid. Only the X-Type of the (broadly) same era are AWD . . . and even then, only on the 2.5L and 3.0L engine variants, because the 2.1L version of the same V6 X-Type is solely Front Wheel Drive.

Cheers,
Ken
