Just moved to the Calgary area (a little over a year ago now). I brought a MY09 4.2L NA lunar grey with me from Saskatchewan and have just traded in (couple months now) to a MY14 3.0 AWD polaris white with black pack, portfolio pack, vision pack and sport pack from Jaguar Edmonton. (Had to go to Edmonton because it was used obviously).
Just took the MY14 into Jaguar Calgary for 2nd year service. All checked out and they treat you really well. Gave me a 2015 XJL fully loaded for the day (extremely nice) and very courteous staff. Having said that it came to the tune of almost $700 for 2nd year service and they had no "extras". The car checked out fine and they only preformed the service as required. I thought $700 was steep however the service was great.
Overall I would say I do not mind the service in Calgary just seems a bit pricey. The sales guys on the other hand...needless to say I am glad the vehicle I was looking for was in Edmonton.

2010 XFR
Just picked up my 2010 XFR, bought from a Merc dealership in Edmonton after it was traded in, not really sure they knew what they had and picked it up for what I consider a real steal! 93kms, Liquid silver, red seating (which is a little OTT but...) Was curious if any of you Jag owners had had any work done on their rims in Calgary, the only thing wrong with the car is a small vibration over 50 kms, so I believe that either the balancing is out (it did get new tires at the dealers and I assume they balanced them) or I have a slight bend in one of the 20" nevis rims, anyone recommend anywhere reliable to do a good job and any ideas what fixing a bent rim might cost me in YYC?

Just wondering if anyone knows a good paint shop in Calgary for polaris white XF? Long story but got paint protection clear film put on, they had to remove it due to some issues and when they pulled it they peeled paint. Now I have to get the entire bumper redone. Looking for recommendations. Jaguar Calgary recommends A-Canadian Autobody however I am not originally from the Calgary area and obviously would like this done well.
Looking for an answer ASAP.
Thanks in advance!

I had good success on my XJ8 VDP with
Exotic Cars Intl
2552 27 St NE, Calgary, AB T1Y 7G1
(403) 250-2522
It is owned by a guy named Ernest who is old school European and who takes great pride in his work.
Only caution is that they may not be as fast as you would like.
Good Luck.

Aaron, my previous Jaguar was an S-Type and, when still new, I managed to scrape the fender. I went to Calgary Coachworks and they did a nice job, showed concern and treated it as if it were their own. The job was finished on time and, although I don't recall the cost, I do recall I was satisfied. The location I went to was 3170 118 Ave SE - just off Deerfoot south. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Good luck!

Hi MHORD
I saw your message saying no XFRS in Calgary so I joined a month ago and promptly forgot my password. I have a black XFRS 2014 first year they came out in Canada. Tears up the road but also the tyres. My Pirelli P Zeros got 12000 miles before changing. They are grippy but quite soft so I replaced them with Michelin SP Supersports. Looks like they will need changed in the spring at 28000 miles so not much different in wear. Worth the rubber though its an amazing car to drive. I drive for hours at a time and step out as fresh as when I stepped in, very comfortable.

Hi Davo,
I had a 2008 XF brand new when they first came out. I had some winters on it with after market rims. The after market rims needed to be balanced again the day I picked up the car so they are quite sensitive but after the second balance they were good until I sold the car after 2 winters. Sounds like you have a rim problem though. I buy my tyres at Kal Tyre. They have been very good with me. I imagine anywhere they sell rims will be able to fix them but they will all send them out. Might be doggie driving fast on a repaired rim but a reputable place will advise you on that. Speeds I go on my XFRS i would keep it as a spare. If you just plod around the city might be ok but safety first. Rims not cheap but not worth your life. Good luck.

Raybern Motors
The only problem I had with my 2008 XF was a leak in the transmission coolant lines which I considered a minor problem but being a Jaguar not cheap. It was out of warranty and I had purchased a 3 year warranty extension. Guess what hoses and pipes not covered. Needless to say I was not happy. Dealer cost was $1500 + tax plus the usual extras they accumulate, probably $2000 by the time its finished, parts alone for 2 hoses were $650. I shopped around and called Raybern Motors. Otto Molnar, older European gentleman who only works on the high end cars Porsche, Mercedes also Jaguars. Knew he would do a good job as soon as I met him, my father was a European car mechanic and a good one. Anyway he used genuine Jaguar parts from the dealer plus the labor and total cost was $700 +tax. half the dealer cost and same day service . Great work, had me go back a few days later to check for leaks (no Charge) . If you saw the ridiculously complex hose and piping combo you would understand why. I guess Jaguar have their reasons but as a mechanical designer I would not have gone that route. A designer must consider access for maintenance and in this case they did not. Its a very difficult job believe me. Otto was able to get professional price for parts, end result 50% of the dealer repair cost, $700 vs. $1500 When my XFRS is out of warranty if I have a problem I will use Raybern Motors without hesitation.
