Hi Gents.
Been a long time since I have been around these parts. I had some health issues pop up, so the Jag purchase, amongst other things, had fallen by the wayside. Or, more accurately, had been slightly delayed. I have gotten back into the Jag hunt now, and hope to be joining you all with my own cat in the very near future.
Great to see such an enthusiastic local group has formed.

Eric:
Good to hear from you.
Sorry to hear about the health issues. I have been there and the Jag thing suffered for it.
What kind of Jag are you looking for?
Do not let the absence of a Jag keep you from the festivities.
I showed up in Woodbridge for the first official meeting driving a VW Passat...station wagon no less!
Let us know what the hunt is for and please join us when you can.
Monday night Bayview and Steeles
Thursday night Woodbridge.
JustV12.

Eric!
You missed Monday night! Maybe it's too much information at once but this was the season opener for the Thornhil Cruisers show it is every Monday night
I was the only jag in the whole show and the only V12 engined car in the show.
Thursday night is the next one then there is the "Wings and Wheels" show at the Downsview airforce base.
But ERIC AND EVERY ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Jaguar Concours de Elegance is going to be at the Science Centre parking lot on June 13th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!
I have two special guests arriving in very special vintage Daimler cars and if you do not know it Daimlers are the highest end version of Jaguar cars after Jaguar purchased the company in 1960.
Woodbridge is on for Thursday.

Me?
I am in love with the XJR. Looking for a 2002 or so. Maybe 2003? An X308 anyway. Will make it my, more or less, daily driver. Even rational reason tells me I should get a Honda Accord or something. But damn, I love that thing more than I can say.
I guess that is what being a Jaguar guy is all about, right?

05STR said (to me)
Well you got me, Thursdays have been very difficult for me these last weeks I am kept at Queen and John downtown T.O. untill just past six PM.
I was angrily sitting in my office waiting for a meeting with my project manager at eight o'clock Thursday night.
He was on a job in Palgrave and never showed up. Called me at eight thirty saying sorry.
I keep thinking I should fire that guy...
Thankfully this project ends this Monday and I can get back to more important things in life, like getting more Jags!
However with another perspective, another one of us has discovered the location and the event!
No one was commiting for last night but it was good to see that you surprised us all...(and showed us up)
05STR, will you be joining us for next Thursday?
This meet is the one we are all planning to make a big show at.
June third.
See you there!

Spitfire:
Are you keeping up with this?
There should be two S types on the third.

Hello Spitfire:
Two things: First it is tooo late for your wife to say maybe.
Mrs. V12 has seen that she may be there and is looking forward to another wife to chat with. Now fair warning but you do not have to forward this info to your better half...Mrs V12 has a keen interst in cars and Jags in particular. If not for her I may never have purchased the XJS convertible as the VDP XJ-12 is truly my cup of tea.
Mrs V12 has been literally under some cars with me and had hands fully involved with wrenches and grease etc. She also never wants to ever miss a Jag club meet and never wants to miss a car event. So is it possible that this feminine entusiasm could be contagious? We should hope so eh?
Remember, the less said the better.
Second thing:
Mrs V12 and I will be in Woodridge at about 6PM and simply look for the pretty red car with it's hood down and looking great. Park in the same place as last time directly in line with Kelseys steak house (or whatever its name is) and in the main parking lot facing California Sandwich and about in the middle of that line. We may indeed be inside California Sandwich OR the gelato place.
We will start something very cool on Thursday nights.
BTW, the weather will be bloody great, Or else!!

justV12 - My buddy and his wife are coming too. Apparently the ladies want to part with some money, doing something they call "shopping". Lol. I'm hoping there are some stores there that will keep them happy!
Let's make sure the Jags are part of the attraction when we are there - so far so good with 3 of us showing up!
We'll see you on Thursday!
