Damn! It happened...Mrs. V12 has been called to work. Don't know what time she starts yet but there is still a shot that she can make it by seven or eight PM? Hope to see ladies show up anyway and enjoy the cars.

 

Hi folks! I made it to the meet last night, albeit a bit late. It was a bit disappointing that the rain kept most people and cars away from the meet - it was the smallest one I've been to yet. I did get a chance to snap a few pics while there - there was a gorgeous blue Maserati Spyder present - hope you enjoy the pics - a couple of them are of me!

What? Excuse me??? I was there at about 6:15 and the place was empty!
I was astounded, as I had thought those guys were fearless, I was a bit disapointed and waited around until 7:PM when Mrs V12 called having finished work and hoping to join us. At that point I told her to forget it nothing was happening. Then I went home.
I had a thought of snapping a shot of my lone car in the parking lot...but I didn't.

So how???

Anyway, lets keep trying to make this happen.

Lol! I was more than a bit late, arriving at about 8:30pm. We were a bit late getting away from Peterborough, had to have supper and keep the girls happy by doing a bit of shopping before hand. They were happy but we were very late.

We came through a fair bit of rain and weren't expecting anyone to be there actually. I was surprised to see what was even there. Oh well.

But absolutely we should continue to plan on getting a bunch of us together. I know I won't be able to make every Thursday because of work and the distance but if we can all agree on a specific date in the near future, lets try getting together.

 

July First is the next monthly FLU meet, but as you know Thursdays are always the day every week.
We can plan for that one unless we get a consensus for a sooner Thursday. Did that make sense?

PLEASE DO NOT MISS Sunday June 13th at the Science Centre parking lot!!

This is the annual Jaguar Concours d'elegance. I will be there as a judge, and Mrs. V12 is an apprectice judge this year. Please do not hesitate to bring wives it is a family event that leans towards the adult side of things.

JustV12 - Planning on being there too, but what's the plan in the event of rain???

 

Specific instructions from the president of the concours chair, and the cheif judge is...bring an umbrella. These are British cars after all whats a little rain?

The show will proceed as scheduled but in 20 myears no matter the prediction it has apparently never been rained out.

JustV12 - next skill testing question - when does the event start tomorrow??? Everywhere I read about the event, it doesn't give a start time.

 

Ooops...sorry about that, spent the day cramming and tutoring Mrs. V12 for her judges exam for tomorows show. 50 questions and about 700 pages of details to wade through.

She has passed her exam today and will be an apprentice judge for the concours!
This is her frst time as a judge. Very COOL indeed.

Judges will be there at ten AM.
However the show is all afternoon and probably a good time is about 1 PM.
That way you don't stand around waiting for us.
I want to introduce you to some of the club members and make sure you are all up to date on summer events.

This is the last post I can do till Monday so I hope to see as many as possible there.
Look for the RED 89 XJS in the "Display" area you will see my name on the placard, then start asking for me.

Has anyone been keeping up to date here?
The summer has been crazy busy for me but I have managed to get to Woodbridge many Thursday nights, September is coming and this leaves a solid month of car events for us to enjoy.
By the way Mrs V12 and I are now a four Jag family we have added a 1962 mARK 10 to our collection.

Hello again! The summer has been crazy busy for me too. Too much work and not enough fun Jag time. I'm planning on being at Bronte Creek on the 19th - can't wait!

JustV12 - the next OJOA meeting is Sep 8th correct? I know the meeting is at 8pm, but on gorgeous sunny days, what time does everyone start rolling in?
