Eric:
You just missed us it seems.
We were parked in the XJ-S right next to that E-type.
We left about 8:40.
There is never a huge Jag presence there but we are working to change that right?
Woodbridge starts about 6-7 PM. Always wait if the parking lot is empty.
It sometimes doesn't get busy till 7:30.
I always like to be about 7 PM.
This is the monthly big meet so see you there.

justV12, appreciate you rallying the jag troops for the meets.
Guess I missed last nights meet perhaps...
Is there another meet in woodbridge this coming thursday (aug 2nd)?
I'll make it out for that one!
edit: which parking lot exactly does this take place in around 7 & weston?

Oops, GT42R, the post you responded to was from 2011,
BUT Yes! Woodbridge is still a Thursday night happening. And the first Thursday of every month is the big meet.
Best was to find it is to Google "California Sandwich" in Woodbridge.
You may also want to Google "La Paloma" gelato in the same plaza @ "200 Windflower Gate" I am usually in the red convertible or occasionally the silver car.
Sixties electrics being what they were (and are) it gets interesting driving at night with the old MK 10 so usually its the red car.
However, enjoy the show and POST HERE if you are going!

GT42R???
Are you still out there?
It is getting chilly and I was out in the red car today top down too.
The MK 10 gets its last drive on the roads in November but the XJS, well we take it how it comes.
Thursdays are on until those Italian guys stop coming. Usually way up into Octobers last Thursday
They are WAYYY more hearty than any other bunch I've seen and they will come bundled up with coats on in their Fiat's Alpha's and even Ferrari's.
So we still have a chance! Trying to get there this Thursday,...?

Hey, nice to have another local member. These are great cars and I hope you enjoy yours.
I had mine out over the weekend for the first time and it was fantastic driving it. Every spring it makes me feel about 20 years younger. These are very underappreciated cars and are timeless.
I have plans of getting mine on track this year for the first time as well. We are scheduled to do some laps at Mosport near the end of April. I finally get to see if the Brembo's, CATS and my new Michelin Pilot Sports are as much fun on track as they are on the street.
However, my viewpoint may be different than most as I normally drive there in my racing cars, LOL.
Take care and enjoy the car.
Regards,
Eric

Funny how these things go. People drop off the map for a bit and then drop back. (Like me)
I have been coming here more than you know, I haven't signed in for a bit unless I had something to say or a PM to answer.
Thursday nights are starting soon at "La Paloma". I will likely be there in my Daimler as this is the car that is ready to go right now. XJ-S need a rad hose, MK 10 needs a voltage regulator, XJ-12 needs injectors cleaned. 1949 Daimler? Needs nothing...just obediently starts and runs without objection.
Hmmmm, have to upload a pic to my garage. Or as they say in England "garage".
Did that translate OK? LOL
Anyway, I am going to find out if they, and when they start this year.
I will post here of course.

OK Toronto guys, keep you eyes on this thread for a new Monday night event.
The BEST cruise in the GTA has been canceled for this year BUT...the Thornhill Cruisers have recently been looking for a new venue. Other than that I will start a British car meeting place in the North end of the city.
Keep it here!
Put in your calendars June 23rd as a date. I am this years chair for the Jaguar owners club of Ontario, and we are having our annual concours that day.
I have some plans to make this the funnest event in memory.
If you make this event you will meet "The worlds most eccentric man"! And it is someone actually MORE eccentric than me!?!
So, Science centre....Sunday June 23rd....bring your Jag to show for fun in several classes. Or if it is a BRITISH car, please come and display it just to enjoy the day with the crowd.
Ancaster British car flea market is on April 21st.
I will be there with the 1949 Daimler DB 18 if the weather is OK.
(Right hand drive car with a letter slot rear window, dangerous to drive with the top up)
Look for me at the OJOA booth or handing out flyers and pestering vendors to come to our event.
I am the one talking to every one.
Brits in the park is coming up
There is a Scottish day festival in Uxbridge that has usually got a Brit car display.
Also do not forget British Car Day!
Over a thousand Brit cars some of which you will never see anywhere else.
I will likely have the ONLY MK 10 there and certainly the only Daimler Barker Special.
So, find me with the Jag club or the Daimler section.
I will try to get back here often to update things.
Cheers.
