Thumbs up New Jaggers on Vancouver Island

Hi All

After a lot of consideration over the years, we finally dove in and joined the Jag generation. Found a skookum good deal on a '96 VDP.

Just got home.

This is the first time I have driven a Jag ( I have owned a number of Porsche's, BMW's and even some BL cars over the decades) After a 3 hour drive home, I can say "I GET it!" I understand why folks can get so passionate about these cars.

Ken, you have started down a very slippery slope. This is your first Jaguar but will not be your last…they are indeed highly additictive because there is something undefinably attractive about them; they are more than machines. They speak to your soul.

Funny, I picked up a Jag (2013 XFR) and it sits beside my wife's Mustang (2006 Convertible) so somewhat similar garage layout.
(Nova Scotia, Canada)

She's cut off her arm to have a matching '67 but not sure how much she'd drive something that difficult to replace.

RE: JFSTANG
Hello, I joined a few months ago, with my 2001 S Type 4.0. It's the wife's "boytoy", kept in pretty nice condition (the other garage queen is a restored 67 GT Mustang fastback, good company for the Jag). Live in Ontario, not far from Toronto area.
Cheers all

Hi Preston, if you still have your car, do you want to meetup?

I have a 2013 XFR

I just went looking in the forum for other Halifax based members.

Hi Birdman, congrats on your new to you Jag and welcome to the loony bin. You're going to love driving it especially on the highway. If you're looking for parts check out Soughtout1 on ebay. He as helped me out with parts including the front hood badge someone stole. Another good resource is the members marketplace. Just follow the link on the top of the page and make a parts wanted ad. Good luck from one old man with an old car to another.

Thanks so much, I think I see u r from London Ontario, have sisters there.
I was born actually so I do go there to visit family. I'm not sure I would drive the old girl that far but would love to have her on the open road trip.

Thanks again nice to meet you and thanks for the welcome and information.

Cheers

Sadly the Canadian section is a little quiet, haven't visited myself in awhile but just picked

up another F-type so thought I would see if anyone was still on here.
